Why is he lifting the Heisman trophy WINNER and not the Heisman trophy?

He's just very proud of Mr. Daniels. He lifted him up so he wouldn't get hurt by the other UGA players looking to crush him.

To be completely serious, he actually did protect Daniels on that play. He lifted him up until the refs blew the whistle and then set him down gently. A "normal" football play would have resulted in Daniels taking a big hit.

Even Daniels was smiling at the end of the play.

I'll accept that. At least he wasn't a total POS like Dallas Turder and cheap shotted him.

Honest question- Do you think Jalen Carter should have attempted CPR on his friend's severed head?

Dallas Baker played a long time ago for the gators. Who did he cheap shot?

Dallas Turner laid a beautiful hit on JD, though. Damn shame JD couldn’t get back in. Probably best for him, though.

Can we get this on zoom with Akhil Crumpton?

Georgia has had plenty of players who had problems with the law but it’s interesting you picked a guy who had like 10 career catches and got arrested 5 years after he left UGA

An LSU player would have attempted to shoot it. He'd have missed, but he damn sure would have tried.

Carter's car was not close to the one that crashed when it happened.
Speaking of facts, there’s zero evidence this is true.

There is a factual record—statements on record—that he was driving at similar speeds as the other car, and also that his car was proximate to the Explorer when it crashed.

So even if it wasn’t his “fault”, sounds a lot like racing to me

According to the police report, all mentions of his vehicle were that it was "up the road" from the accident. I suppose that doesn't necessarily mean "not close", but it's meaningful that Carter's car wasn't mentioned as being involved in the accident in any way. The police report has it as a single car accident.

The reality is Lecroy was driving at over 100 miles an hour with a blood alcohol level more than double the legal limit.

Carter was charged with misdemeanor reckless driving and street racing. He wasn't charged in the crash as his vehicle was not found to be involved in it. The crash was a single car accident. The road had a curve and the SUV didn't turn and ran into a tree.

It’s easy to be “up the road” from a crash site when you’re going 115mph in your 700hp Jeep Trackhawk and the other car gets stopped by a tree (multiple power poles, trees, and eventually an Apt building)

That’s what happens when you literally let someone get away with homicide .

Nobody is defending Carter for speeding or reckless driving.

But nothing in his driving was tied to the accident. It was a single car wreck. Yes he was breaking the law in that he was tripling the speed limit and racing another vehicle. But the other vehicle didn't crash because of it. It crashed because the other driver was drunk and couldn't handle a turn at high speed.

They weren't trying to pass his vehicle when they crashed. He didn't cut them off. He had effectively "won" the race they were having and was "up the road". She crashed because she was going 100 miles an hour around a turn while drunk, hit the curb and lost control.

Of the passengers, the two not wearing seatbelts were either horribly injured or killed, while the one who wore his seatbelt had an injury minor enough that he was able to take part in senior bowl practices just a week or two after the accident.

The lessons here are pretty simple. While street racing is dumb and shouldn't happen, the biggest lessons are don't drive drunk and wear a seatbelt in a car at all times. A lot of stupid things were done that night, but drunk driving and not wearing seatbelts were the stupidest.

All true. Here’s my point: he’s in the NFL and no longer a part of my university, and doesn’t any longer represent the Dawgs (if he ever cared to in the first place). Why we are sitting here giving one damn about him—much less trying to defend him—is beyond me.

Interesting,…last time I checked most SUVs had drivers that were responsible to turn the steering wheel to keep them on the road. However, since just about all of your posts in this thread are about completely absolving this particular driver (Mr. Carter) of any responsibility for any wrongdoing I would say your consistency is admirable.
