I wonder how the Xavier team is feeling. You want to win, but I don't think there is any intention of drumming them. Gotta be a sticky situation to be the team that has to play the team that is going through a tragedy like that...at their own place.

If they'd been the team to have a huge inning and win big we'd all be cheering them and saying how impressive and amazing they are in the face of adversity.
Be on the wrong end of that and we're making excuses. Triumph over bad circumstances and we make movies about it.
Sucks for Vandy big time, but they've got to find a way to battle through it.

Dude, calm down. I feel bad for them. Most people do. I don't pity them. I don't see Corbin pointing at Xavier's manager saying "CUT IT OUT!" It's part of life and it sucks, but I don't see Vandy crying about it. Petrino probably felt so bad that night, he couldn't even get it up for his grad assistant.

The drowning didn't happen a week ago, a month ago or whatever. It happened less than 48 hours ago so it's still brand new.
If you read the story, you'd know that the teammates/friends thought the Donny was joking. He was smiling and never appeared to be in distress. The one guy who tried to save him struggled to stay afloat and left Donny Everett out there.
I cannot imagine the guilt that these 4 kids feel, particularly the Vandy teammates.
