I’d almost prefer to go back to the BCS and just find the two best teams.

That gives a weaker Clemson team way too many final 2 apps

I’ve addressed this point like 5 times. There will be more blowouts. Yes. But there will also be MORE meaningful games/quality games as well. More matchups vs top ranked teams is good for college football.

Who wants to see two shitty teams play a close game?

I agree to expanding to 8 but that still leaves the problem of extending the season or eliminating a regular season game. And it doesn't solve the bowl & opt out problem. And expanding to 8 will only ensure the SEC gets more teams into the Playoff and the traditional powers will make the Playoff every year even when they have down years with a loss or two.

Division 1 College football was never meant to have parity. It evolved naturally over 150 years to have elites. Those bluebloods will dominate the 8 team playoff like they do the 4 team Playoff and blowouts will will be the norm in the first round - no matter how many teams you let in to the Playoff.

People who watch the Lower level bowl games between 6-6 and 7-5 teams, which has nothing to do with the good teams we are discussing.

Their SOS would hurt them immensely in a 2-team BCS draw. Every year.

I don't like the playoff as it is. It is bring too much money into the game. To hell with expanding it. Time to go back to the old conference affiliated bowls. IMO.
