Bad officiating is part of the game, sometimes it screws you, sometimes you benefit.
I'm fine with it as long as it isn't blatant and obvious like the pass interference in the Saints-Rams NFCCG a few years ago.

Obviously there is no cheating or grand conspiracy.
I think on some level officiating has declined, and with social media, it is much more noticeable because it is all everyone talks about.

I think the game has gotten faster which makes it more prone to officiating mistakes. Also, the access to play review is so much more widespread now. 20 years ago, unless you taped the game, there was no way to go back over each and every play.

I know this is a troll of LSU fans but America's favorite sports are far too subject to the whims of the referees. Close games are decided by the refs way too often, at all levels. Super annoying to watch as I get older.

You are gonna get some calls every game and you are gonna have some go against you every game but yea, this the officials cause us to lose every game is ignorant and dumb

The officiating was bad. They awarded first downs based on review, but without measuring the distance after placing the ball. That’s how you get people pissed off.
