Clemson 27
Syracuse 23

ND 36
Syracuse 3

See that game can be played the other way as well.

No it can't. His point was that Notre Dame beating Pitt and Northwestern was as good as a conference championship.

those games are scheduled years in advance

Interesting.

Glad you agree. This is one of your standard, go-to replies when you know the fact that's been presented to you is beyond dispute. You can't debate the point, so you just go with something like "Interesting", because it sounded way more clever in your head than it really is.

Triggered by ND.

Right on time.

The ND envy on this entire site is hilarious

ND hasn’t won a National Championship in 30 years. There are several SEC teams that have multiple National Championships in that time frame. You can’t be serious.

It is. Margin of victory has nothing to do with it. If ND played Pitt in the ACC Championship (like Clemson did) and only won by 5, ND would be ACC Champs. If ND played NW in the Big 10 Championship (like OSU did) and won by 10, ND would be B1G champs.

No, it isn't.

Yeah, but they didn't.

They are champions of nothing.

And that doesn’t matter for getting in the playoff.

The committee says otherwise.

Apparently not. See UGA (ranked ahead of OSU) and ND this year. Bama last year. OSU in 2016.

Championships matter for getting into the playoff.

You meant to say they're not required.

It’s not the conference championships. It’s those teams’s records against their schedule. Typically Power 5 champs make it because they have 0 or 1 loss against a Power 5 schedule. But it has nothing to do with winning a conference championship.

We get them in Sanford Stadium next year. We'll finish their season early and nobody will have to worry about this shite next year.

Wrong. You'll beat the ever loving shite out of them then they'll win out against the cupcakes and the pundits will claim "they've turned it around since the embarrassing loss to Georgia". Then they'll make the gayoffs, get their shite pushed in, rinse, wash, repeat.

Yes it is. It's spelled out for you in writing and they talk about it every year.
