oh i agree its a lot of he said/she said.

But unlike you I realize that. You, however, are convinced the story that implicates Mills is the true one...well because thats what you obviously want to believe happened.

LOL. You're favoring the LSU player because you're an LSU fan. I'm biased against him because I'm not.

Don't pretend you're taking your position out of some "I err on the side of justice" mindset.

You couldnt be more wrong. i think it's 50/50 he's guilty. I'm just not convicting him yet. He deserves his day in court.

Mills was charged with a misdemeanor because the investigation detailed that it wasn't even determined that Mills was involved. There was some doubt as to the identification by the female apt. resident of who hit her; and Mills has maintained his innocence and that he was not even in the hallway at the time.

Actually this is not quite accurate. Here is what the DA said:

In order for Mills’ second-degree battery charge to stick, Moore said his office had to prove that Mills had a desire to inflict serious bodily injury to the female victim.

“I have to prove that any defendant has the specific intent to cause anyone of those injuries or conditions,” Moore wrote. “In this case, similar to the Jordan Jefferson case and hundreds of other fights/batteries, I cannot. There is no specific provision for man versus woman except for Domestic Violence or family situations, which this is not.”

LINK

That said....if the DA chooses to reduce it to a misdemeanor, then he should be reinstated. Every team in the country has at least one kid charged with a misdemeanor....and probably every one of them allow the player to play, with running as punishment.

let's totally assume the crazy woman banging on his door is on the up and up and told the story word for word how it went down.

It's that time of year again. Are you ready for a team vote? (Jalen Mills)

quote:

So basically, the disciplinary standards have been lowered to where you can knock out a woman and not even face a team vote?

Can he help them win?
Then yes

So basically...
During the investigation, it was found that the woman in the apt could not identify the person who hit her; and there is reasonable doubt of his guilt; that Mills was telling the truth - that he wasn't even in the hallway and that the women misidentified Mills.

So basically....
Whoever did hit her did not "knock her out."
Nice hopeful yearning fantasy though.

So basically....
The disciplinary standards remained where Miles has always had them - that he will decide himself if the DA's decision of misdemanor warrants further disciplinary action including possible game suspension.

So...
Basically...

Jump in a boiling vat of skunk feces.....

That's what the DA said and Mills and his attorney are moving forward with not guilty because they claim he wasnt involved. So far it seems they plan on fighting this until the end and not accepting any type of plea.

That could always change.

if anyone believes that mills just punched her for no reason standing outside of his door then I don't know what to tell you. that's doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

What leads you to this conclusion? Are you believing one side of the story to reach that conclusion?

I have no idea what happened, whether Mills is guilty of anything or whether he should be charged at all, but who has claimed that? Why are you setting up straw men?

And who could blame them. There is doubt...that is all that is needed. All we can hope for is the truth to come out. Hopefully we can all agree to this. If he hit the woman, I am sure most, if not all LSU fans would want him punished. And, hopefully, if he is being accused falsley, hopefully everyone wants him freed.
