And Tulane was a founding member of the SEC—what’s your point?

Just get ready for it. Honestly I don’t hate it cause unlike Napier who I knew would fail from the start ; golesh could be like Todd golden and be the next urban Meyer.

Are the odds high for that ? No 80% chance he fails but it’s a high 20% ceiling

Stop it. If you knew Napier would fail then what about your AD that hired him? What makes you think the next hire will be better? I believe the best way to fix that problem is to fire the AD first before hiring the next HC.

Agreed.

Golesh would at the very least get that offense fixed. Young and smart offensive mind.

I would like the hire if I'm florida. You know he has balls and you know he can coach offense.

On top of that he brought usf back to respectable.

I like golesh and id be excited as a gator if it happens....a 20% high ceiling is really good odds, and I think it fould be even higher.

If Arkansas doesn’t hire Petrino then they’re getting Golesh. His wife is from there and they’re having to go back and forth to Arkansas because they had to put one of her parents in a nursing home.

Plus, Foley hired Urban Meyer but he also hired Muschamp and McElwain. It's not like they're going to bat 1.000 and you can't judge them by one good or one bad hire.

I never liked the Muchamp and McElwain hired.

Other than Kiffin, who else would you want? You gotta take a chance on someone, may as well be someone who has already been impressive in the state

Machen gets the credit for the Urban hire, when he took the presidents job he brought Urban with him from Utah. Foley’s football hires: Zook, Muschamp, Mcelwain

Atleast we could understand the thought process and see the vision with the Muschamp hire, but agree that McElwain made zero sense

I'll take whoever. The only way we get a good coach is luck. Stricklin can't tell what makes a coach good at his job. The next 5 years will probably suck until he retires. I am more concerned about his replacement.

Machen played a huge role but you can't really judge like that. Foley also brought it Donovan on the basketball side and Lopez and McMahon on baseball.

That's what we've been doing and it hasn't gone great.

Do you think Stricklin is going to make a great hire? I do not, so let's just get on with it.

Hmm...So he didn't hire a ton of title winners at basically every sport UF played? Holy shite you are dumb as hell if think Foley was not a very good AD.
