A&M/JFF will be scary good next year - combine that with a MUCH easier schedule in 2013 than 2012, and hopefully A&M will win the SEC West (or more).
LSU in Death Valley.

That's not really owning THEIR asses, though...
At least LSU beat them twice in a row recently. Alabama played them ONCE recently... and lost... in an NC season.
Not gonna pretend it wasn't a one-two-punch that A&M got to finish, though.

Texas A&M had one good year. No one gives a shite about your homosexual program. You haven't done anything in 15 years.
You sound very beaten down. Its very sad.

No, we are just wondering why the hell Aggie is getting so much hype. A&M had like two impressive games all year and now they are NC favorites? Please. Win first. Talk later.

it seems like a stretch to think they have a better year than this past season.
I do not know if A&M will have a better year, but I am almost certain that we will have a better team. Yes, you listed all of the losses, but you neglected the gains. We start the year not with a freshmen taking his first college snap in the first year of a new system and new coach, but with a Heisman winnng QB playing in the second year of a system that the team has completely bought into and under a coach they now are completely confident in. We are returning 3 of 5 starters from one of the nation's best offensive lines, including a starter who would have been a first round pick had he left. We are not merely returning our most productive running backs - we are getting two RBs who were not eligible to play last year but whom, by all accounts, were incredible in practice. We are returning our most productive WR, a guy who was only a freshmen with limited football experience last season. We will have a massive class of incredibly highly recruited WRs from which to find a couple of guys who can help the only offensive unit that saw substantial losses - the WR corp.
Defensively, we have more of a concern, but not as many concerns as we had going into this year. We did not know if we had a front seven that could handle SEC play. We did. Moore is the only guy we are losing defensively that has the kind of talent that we won't be able to replace. We lose one safety who was a contributor (Terrell) and one corner (D. Harris). All other pieces in the secondary will return (Harris, Raven, Everett, Matthews, and Hurd).

Don't you have a shitty basketball thread to start? One in which the refs are out to get Bama?

You will no doubt point out that some of those teams were bad. That's true. Still, A&M looked impressive in those games. We buried them. We looked really impressive while beating those bad teams.

You're not just wondering about the hype. You're trying to preempt it as unjustified.
But there simply wasn't a hotter team at the end of the season last year.
And what do you mean by "win first"? What standard of winning must a team attain before hype is okay?
Why doesn't 11-2 meet that standard?
Last year it was "Aggy will be lucky to win 6, so shut up." Now what's the line? Win a championship two years in or all is for naught?
No.
And you know the answer is no.
Hence the fear.

Bama & OU. The rest don't impress me or anyone else.
And that said, A&M had probably more bad games than good games (LSU, Florida, Ole Miss).
So again, why should I believe A&M is the next great SEC team?

You could start by winning your division.

3rd place in the West after the head-to-head tie breaker with LSU.

This just distorts the point.
This means "win a BCS title."
So again, is that your exclusive standard for winning that justifies hype?

The goalposts will continue to be moved--a sure sign of seriously rustled jimmies
