Doesn’t make it a BCS Bowl. This is retarded Aggie logic they use to claim their Cotton Bowl win over Oklahoma was major. LSU fans don’t trumpet their win over aggy as a major bowl win. At the time, it was basically the CapOne Bowl. A very nice bowl, but not one of the major bowls.

It was pre-coalition/alliance/BCS/NY6. The only think making a bowl ‘major’ at that time was tying itself to a major conference champion. That’s why the bowl would be major at the time.

A 2 loss conference champion and an independent that had 4 losses after the game not even ranked in the top 10. Very major.
