Actually agree with this post and i'm full on lsu homer. I enjoy the humor but mindless threads are getting a little excessive.

If we lose, I'd say LSU drops to #2, bama to #3, and osu soars to #1. So, by losing a game, we get what we want. paybacks a bitch

Probably to some extent, but I'll tell you what, if you want to sort out who's driving the BS, then geaux to the Tidefans board where LSU fans have nearly all been banned/suspended (not based on postings but rather affiliation alone). Have a look at the quality of the information and dialogue, basically just amongst Bammmers there. Then see if you have the gumption to continue yammering about both fan bases sharing equal fault here.
Not saying we all don't have our share of nitwits.
We do.
But an expressed attitude that the SECW runner-up is a lock for the BCSCG and "waiting in the Clubhouse" while the SECW Winner must still "play its way in" is simpleton stoogery. It's the kind of stupidity that invites response in kind. As you've noted, that response has been levied. It is the basis for most of the threads you're referencing.

Seriously, Bama is watching TV, while LSU fights for the honor to play Alabama again?
Any football fan should be outraged at this nonsense... It's stupid, and I don't care how good Alabama is...
I don't care what Experts say, what Bama or LSU fans say...It's a stupid set of circumstances if it happens as they claim it will.
LSU and OSU need to win on Saturday, and I think fairness and logic rule the day as it should

I have the gumption to call anyone out and I don't care what fan affiliation they are. I'm not looking for stats here on the exact percentage of LSU fans talking BS compared to Bama fans talking BS. If you'll notice in my first sentence of the OP I noted that it's not every fan from both schools. With that being said, I'm not saying that it's split 50/50, I'm simply stating that it's coming from both fan bases.

From the moment we lost to LSU I have had some friends talking about how we were still going to play LSU in a rematch for the NC. I told them that I didn't think that would happen. Since then the teams that stood in our way lost games and we didn't. As a result we have moved back into the number 2 spot in the polls. Then people are acting as though we are a lock into the NCG, to which I reply that no we are not a lock. I have said before and I'll say again that I think we will be jumped by Okie St after this weekend and if that is the case then all the rematch talk is no more and should not be brought up by anyone. I do not think that we deserve a rematch because we had our chance Nov. 5th and lost. As much as I would like to see Bama in the NCG and have a chance at redeeming the 9-6 loss in OT at home, I don't think it will happen, but I'm not a voter so my opinion doesn't really matter very much I guess.
So instead of bickering back and forth and getting into piss fights with everyone about a possible rematch that I have no control over, I'm just going to support Alabama and cheer them on in whatever bowl we get the nod to just like I have done my whole life. Whatever bowl game we play in, I hope that the players are prepared to play and finish the season strong with a win and let's keep it going into next season.
I might piss a lot of people off by my OP but that's okay. I'll keep posting like I have done since 2007 and continue to be a level headed and rational fan of SEC and Alabama football.

Let me put this another way.
If Bama posters here and in general otherwise approached the whole BCSCG equation as even-headedly as you have, the complexion of discussion on this board would be very different.

LSU has to risk an extra game this week, while Nick is out on the road recruiting. Not the fairest of scenarios to be sure, but c'est la vie.
And IMO Bama making it to the BCSCG if they're the undisputed #2 is a-OK.
My personal preference, if we do end up in a rematch, would be for both VT and OSU to lose this weekend so there will be no question whatsoever that Bama is head-and-shoulders above any other choice. Though we sort of take Bama being one of the top 2 teams for granted in the Southeast, there will be a lot of National whining about one of the other teams not getting a shot if there's ANY question. A 1-(controversial)loss OSU would certainly have at least some claim to a question.
Selfishly from an SEC perspective I'd also love Bama and LSU taking on separate bowl opponents and tearing Hell out of them as was the case last year.
