Same as the year the beat UF in tSwamp due to the fake field goal.
On 4th down you cannot advance a fumble. That year the holder threw it over his shoulder and it bounced on the ground and the kicker caught it on the bounce.
By rule if a ball hits the ground it's either a fumble or an incomplete pass. Since it was backwards it wasn't an incomplete pass therefore it was a fumble and the kicker should not be able to advance it.
it wasn't a fumble. it was a lateral. where do you people come from?

You can advance a fumble behind the LOS.
Do you gator fans know anything about football?

He moved before the snap too just like LF but that's OK. The rematch will be sweet.

Only LSU fans could push this up to 100 responses. Mizzou is the most deluded, LSU is the most insecure.

If Les wasn't such a frickin tard he would've continued the gameplan that gained LSU the momentum and lead going into half. There should have been no need for upholding his Mad Hatter rep

I thought that when the player who had the ball was down and the play dead if his knee was down?

Just evening up the no calls such as the block in the back on the first man to "miss" Antonio Callaway on his PR for a TD. Amazing how the would be tackler whiffed on the tackle with that hand in his back at the point of the catch... Deion Jones just ran right by him for no reason!

Hey aren't you the Gator poster that swore this year's UF defense is way better than last year's defense.

The second a lateral touches the ground it is officially and technically a fumble. So therefore per the way the rules are written it shouldn't not be able to be advanced.
Where do you come from?

For being such a "fricking tard" he is still LSU's all time winnest coach. And, yea, I am sure he makes calls just to build up his image as the Mad Hatter. Good Lord, I thought liberals hate was off the charts.

Yet again you show you have no fricking clue about college football.

ARTICLE 3. A live ball becomes dead and an official shall sound his whistle or declare it dead:
[...]
b. When any part of the ball carrier’s body, except his hand or foot, touches the ground or when the ball carrier is tackled or otherwise falls and loses possession of the ball as he contacts the ground with any part of his body, except his hand or foot[Exception: The ball remains alive when an offensive player has simulated a kick or at the snap is in position to kick the ball held for a place kick by a teammate. The ball may be kicked, passed or advanced by rule]
Your hate for LSU is glorious. Just how many times did your wife/girlfriend cheat on you with a lsu fan?

This thread is gold. Please keep the Gator tears coming.

I wrote that answer for all my LSU fans.
It would have been rich had a ref blown the play dead.
