An extremely effective HC that's won a lot of games?

Enjoy Napier

To think we actually wanted Jimbo

My understanding was LSU offered Jimbo on 3 separate occasions and he turned them down after each one. They offered 1 final time after Riley turned them down and he said, NO!

Lol it has to be tough going through life so ignorant, not to mention supporting the team that is the laughing stock of the conference and really power 5 sports in general

There's a famous anecdote about Steve Spurrier inquiring about the opening at Florida and being asked for his resume, to which Spurrier quipped "look in the trophy case."

When Brian Kelly was asked for his resume he handed it to them instantaneously and printed hundreds of extras to paper over his trophy case.

Why would we want that loser? It’s settled fact he can’t win in the SEC.

Kelly sees exactly what Saban saw & proved.....LSU will do quite well with Kelly.

Can't wait to revisit this at some point.

100% could be. And then we'll move on.

Y'all are stuck for awhile. Hope he suddenly turns into a championship winner.

You all would feed Brian Jelly to the alligators if it would get you Jimbo.

Oh Florida may end up worse of the two but I'd have been very disappointed if we'd gotten Brian Kelly.

Like if Napier sucks I'll be like yeah he was unproven and we'll find someone else but y'all will be bending over backwards trying to convince yourselves this is the year he finally starts winning them big games.

This makes sense.

Florida does usually go after unproven guys in hopes that they find a diamond in the rough because they need a rockstar head coach to win.

LSU can turn a moron into a championship coach though so they just needed someone halfway competent.

I, for one, am extremely interested to see how Marcus Freeman as Notre Dame's Head Coach, who has never been a head coach EVER, is going to show his management skills.

I smell trouble. Reminds me of when Nick Saban left Michigan State and Bobby Williams took over with over-the-top bravura.

Head coaches who land at the top stage for the first time often fall flat on their butts.

I'm probably wrong. But, it will be interesting to see the win-loss record at Notre Dame.

Freeman has more pressure to win than Kelly does.

It would've been hard to sell Jimbo to the fanbase after he had just lost to a fired coaching staff and a bunch of backups.

You’re more late with this news than Jaylon Jones is to winning TD’s….
