Florida hired the coach that was on sports talk radio openly lobbying for an interview with lsu . Lmao
A guy from ull out of the sunbelt . I may have quit watching the sport if we hired a sun belt coach.
I just don’t understand why Florida couldn’t find a power 5 coach . It’s not a good situation down there right now and I for one am not happy about it. I always liked the game against Florida every year. They’ve been mailing it in lately.
I mean Dan Mullen lost 3 in a row to lsu and he could have won all 3 if he would have quit changing qbs like he was playing madden .

I still have a hard time understanding why any school besides uga or bama feels that they have a better coach than lsu.
If you asked cfb fans and analysts and coaches , I guarantee you they would have bk as either the 2nd 3rd or 4th best coach

Freeman has more pressure to win than Kelly does.
If that is true, then why is Notre Dame pre-ranked so high for this season? I guess we shall see who will ended up with a better record and who will ended up being fired or let go first.

ND fan here. Kelly is absolutely a lazy recruiter. He spent more time golfing and his laziness cost us numerous studs (Chase Young, Zeke Elliott, Curtis Samuel, Irv Smith Jr., Jordan Addison, AJ Dillon) that otherwise would’ve gone to ND. HOWEVER, just because he was lazy that doesn’t mean he was a bad recruiter. He was a good talent evaluator at ND and was great during in-home visits and was very straightforward with parents. Weis pulled in top classes but they weren’t very balanced. He brought in great offensive talent but the defensive players generally sucked. Kelly brought more balance to the program and our Defensive players that he brought in were vastly superior to what we had before him.
Both things can be (and were) true during his time at ND - he was a good recruiter but was also lazy.
