Like the ones AJ McCarron and some of the others had that were "provided" to them by that store in Mobile?

i know for a fact AJ's mom was married to a pretty well off dude (pharma rep) when he was at bama and the car he drove was easily affordable to his family.

I read it just fine.

There is no NCAA rule against buying a car you can't afford.

Oh I guess you didn't read it correctly. It's okay, being an idiot is understandable considering the script A.

There is a specific rule against getting a loan based upon "pay-back potential as a professional athlete" or like what was stated, "got a car note that he is banking on being able to afford in a year or two when he goes pro?"

Lease payments on said Dodge Charge: around $4,000 annually

Deals on Dodge Charger

quote:

Leasing looks the same: Like last month, the popular 2016 SXT in rear-drive form can be yours from $287 for 42 months (12,000 miles a year) with $2,999 due at signing. The 2017 SXT starts at $319 a month with all else equal. The 2016 R/T goes for $307 a month, which is actually a somewhat better deal given its higher MSRP. The 2017 R/T starts at $349 a month. All other terms are identical.

$2,999 due at signing plus $287-349 a month = $6443-7187 in first year, then $3444-4188 per year in subsequent years.

Alabama cost of attendance stipend: 5385.00

Leaving the player with -($1058-1802) in the first year and $1197-1941 the next two years, probably not enough to put gas in the car and insure it, let alone pay for tags, etc. and, oh by the way, cover all the other expenses included in "cost of attendance".

Of course, the numbers don't prove anything wrong is going on. Maybe all of these players are getting supplemental money from family or other legitimate sources. What's strange is why they all seem to like Dodges so much.

It really is unbelievable how many Bama players suddenly get new rides out of the blue. Trent Richardson grew up in the projects, yet his KFC-working mom was able to buy him a brand new Tahoe. Yeah right. Alabama has put together an unbelievably impressive run under Nick Saban. But we may never know the price that was paid for such success. #strugglesoverwit

Anyone who thinks Alabama isn't doing shady stuff when it comes to recruiting is deluding themselves. For example, the 1992 Alabama team under Stallings that got sanctioned proves that Alabama is willing to cheat like hell to win championships. I don't care how good a recruiter Saban is, he's not getting the number one recruiting class seven years running without cheating when it comes to recruiting. Alabama has a lot of money to throw around, and it does. Once Saban skips town, the shite may hit the fan, akin to what happened at USC when Pete Carroll jumped ship for greener pastures.

Because Antonio Langham signed a paper napkin with an agent in a New Orleans bar? Fwiw, it impacted 1993. Not 1992.

That's just the tip of the iceberg, bubba. There was an in-depth investigation done by Yahoo Sports just a few years ago detailing all the smoke concerning players being paid, gifts etc at Alabama. Hell, D.J. Fluker as much as admitted it once he'd gone to the NFL. Alabama and its organization cheats like hell to win. It's because football is your second (or first) religion over there, and "win at any cost" is the mantra at Alabama. Anyone who thinks Saban is honestly getting the number one recruiting class in the nation seven years running without cheating is delusional.

And that has what to do with 1993? Regardless, Yahoo proved nothing.

Just more crying from LSU fans.

When the shite hits at Alabama over recruiting violations, we'll all be laughing our asses off at your meltdown. The only reason Alabama wasn't hit with an investigation over the well-documented investigation by Yahoo Sports is that the NCAA is basically run by pussies. D.J. Fluker admitted to getting payoffs and he arrogantly said, "Yeah, so what?" Such is the sheer arrogance of Gumps. Well, when the bubble bursts and Alabama finally, justly gets hit with sanctions, I will be laughing my arse off at you people.

You know the fricking SEC won't say a damn word either. Imagine if it was a different school? The SEC would be all over them.

You realize you can walk into the parking lot of any SEC practice and find the majority of these players are driving cars worth more than their parents' annual household income, right? Bama is the most scrutinized because of the spotlight, but I guarantee you those LSU players aren't walking and definitely aren't riding around on bikes either. I once thought it was strictly Bama as well until I spent time in Athens, Auburn and Gainesville.

You're going to have to prove it there bubba.

It's just Bama fans aren't creepy enough to stalk Twitter accounts and take pictures of players' cars like some of these weirdos.
Walk the LSU, AU, Tenn. football parking lot...you'll see the same rides.
Dodge isn't a trend among Bama players, it's a trend among that age group.

Some of you are also pushing the racist boundaries.
Just come right out and say it...you think they can't afford a used 2011 $20,000 car because they're black.

It was Alabama sororities who were exposed just a couple of years ago of being a bunch of racist bitches.

Hey Gump, what's it like to have no life without Alabama football and being without a full complement of teeth?

It was proven by the Yahoo Sports in-depth investigation. It's just too bad the Alabama alum dominated SEC and ball-less NCAA had no interest in even investigating it.

Uh-huh. It's more like when Saban knows how to play the system and not get caught. And also when you have a pussified SEC administration dominated by Alabama alums.
