This is still the shadiest shite of it all. On no planet can Alabama justify having one of the highest "Cost of attendance" stipends in the NCAA. It's absolutely crazy it's like 2 grand higher than some other SEC schools.
there is a lot that comes into play for COA, including current student/athlete population vs distance to home vs distance to travel hubs, etc... it is not far fetched at all

a lot of times the parents now dont have to pay for college, so they buy them a car, etc...
They also can get grant money which can be used for expenses. Transportation qualifies as an expense

and he could have received some gumbo and a swamp boat at LSU.

New Dodge Charger cost: around $25,000.
Lease payments on said Dodge Charge: around $4,000 annually
Alabama cost of attendance stipend: 5385.00
Mystery solved
Don't for get
Cost of pell grant 5800 a year.
Student Loan eligibility 12000 a year.
Total income in a year
Around 23000 a year if that stipend is annual. If it's per semester then obviously it's more.
It's amazing how many idiots don't know how much money you can make in college with loans, grants, and now the stipend. I beat most of them are bringing in 30000 plus a year.

I mean, I understand the facts that you're bringing to the table here. But you're an even bigger idiot if you think that a single dollar for that Charger came from someone in Bugg's family.
I'm not going to say it doesn't happen everywhere, either.

Given to him by an LSU booster before he committed to Bama. Took the car, then said "frick you. What are you going to do about it?" Threatened to out LSU on other violations if they took the car back. Heard it from my source.

Right.
He's black. Of course his family can't afford a $25,000 car for Christmas.

Again read my message did I say anything about his family paying. The money from this will probably come from the facts above. I have a masters degree. I have seen guys buy cars, boats, and make rent payments off the loans and pell grants

Leaving $1385 left over, annualized to $115 per month to cover real costs of college. Ramen noodles were always cheap.

Those huge bags of cereal, frozen chicken breast(cooked on the George Foreman grill that hardly got cleaned) was what I lived off of at AU.
