I guess this needs to be addressed again b/c everyone needs to feel that Bama cheats and their team is clean just so they can somehow cope with Bama winning so much.
You aren't going to bust an Alabama player over a vehicle. It won't happen. The compliance department has a file for every student athlete (regardless of sport) that tracks the vehicle the athlete drives, who it is registered under, etc. They update this file any time the athlete changes vehicles during his/her eligibility at Bama. There is a person in compliance who regularly (I think quarterly) updates every student athlete's file to make sure they are current on this info.
That vehicle will have the appropriate paperwork should the NCAA ever come asking.
Same is true if a player gets rims put on a car. Those are usually financed and compliance has a record of who signed for those rims (either the athlete or, in most cases, a family member who is making the monthly payments). Very few details are not accounted for.

Most of our teams aren't full of academic geniuses. 1 rocket scientist doesn't make the Vols Harvard.

Buggs has been in college for 2 years now. I wonder why his parents waited so long?

Good thing bama has this under control internally. If this is all above-board, it's weird that these tweets always get quickly deleted. Oh well...nothing to see here, folks.

Alabama has put together an unbelievably impressive run under Nick Saban. But we may never know the price that was paid for such success.
It was paid for in hard work, without A/C.

I mean, they got caught red-handed with a player setting up fricking furniture delivery but all you have to say is you had no knowledge of what was going on and the NCAA brushed it aside. Cam taught us that.

there are plenty of people in plenty of walks of life that are driving around in cars they can't afford.
Someone tell me how the hell woman walks into the local grocery store with 2-3 kids in tow, loads up a cart or two with food, pays with a food stamp debit card and proceeds to the parking lot to unload those groceries into a brand new 2017 Escalade? WTF?

Nick Saban will do whatever he can to win. He'll recruit guys who beat women, hire alcoholics, let players back on the team that assault other students. The buying cars, paying players, and hiring family members are the minor incidents.

kid has a relative sign for a used car in the $15-20K range and finances it over 60 months at an interest rate in the low single digits (probably 3-4%). Finance it over 72 months, as some are foolishly choosing to do lately, and it is a payment in the low $300 range on a $20K car.
I'd say most families not paying for college could swing something like that, especially if they think they only have to make the payments for 12 months before the kid takes over.

This is still the shadiest shite of it all. On no planet can Alabama justify having one of the highest "Cost of attendance" stipends in the NCAA. It's absolutely crazy it's like 2 grand higher than some other SEC schools.
