It really is unbelievable how many Bama players suddenly get new rides out of the blue. Trent Richardson grew up in the projects, yet his KFC-working mom was able to buy him a brand new Tahoe. Yeah right.
Alabama has put together an unbelievably impressive run under Nick Saban. But we may never know the price that was paid for such success. #strugglesoverwit

I mean getting a car loan isn't that hard anymore, especially if you can convince a bank or family friend or whoever "I'm going to play football at *insert big SEC school here* and I'm telling you I'll be going pro in 1 or 2 years and I swear I'll pay you back with my signing bonus" with some sort of high interest loan
It's a fricking horrible personal decision but that's neither here nor there

Called it!

How does UGA ever win recruiting battles against Bama?
It's not like we're an FCS school, believe it or not some kids may simply want to go to UGA more than anywhere else?
with that said, our current coach has learned from the master so I have a feeling we're about to start winning a lot more recruiting battles than we used to. Thank goodness.

I like Henry's charger more than this one. They must know the same person.

This is a loophole. A university can allow a student employee to drive a school owned car as long as it is in the university name. Every big time program does this. LSU does ford, Chevy, and dodge and I have seen Jordan Jefferson almost run people over in a charger. Arkansas does the same. My time in fayetteville I saw the same thing. Get over it. Every player gets a few thousand at a time on every trip he makes. Every big time recruit gets a car. And every player gets free clothing

So you think an 18 year old kid is going to choose to compete in the Who Gives a shite Bowl at UGA for free instead of winning titles and getting paid by Alabama.
What flavor is that Koolaid you're drinking?

It is usually the car dealerships that gives these dudes an amazing deal on a car. Every school in the SEC does this and if you don't believe it you are naive.

Are you this dense? You know not EVERY SINGLE good HS football player just follows the handouts right? Of our 20 current commits, 15 are from the state of Georgia. Believe it or not, and I know it may be utterly SHOCKING, but some of these guys just may have grown up watching and wanting to play for UGA. Crazy I know!
Using your logic every single HS recruit in america that's a high 3* or better would only want to play for about 4 different college programs. That isn't how it works.

Gosh I hope so. If he can bring the same behind the scenes shenanigans without getting caught, I'll be feeling pretty good about the next few years. But I'm not sure Nick Saban at any other school could beat Nick Saban at Alabama. The booster infrastructure is just too massive for literally any other school to compete.
We all know every school does it. It's just one school does it so well and so massively, no one else can compete.
That's why I don't envision Saban retiring anytime soon. As long as the NCAA continues to look the other way, Saban is going to have his team in the playoff until he decides to retire. Why retire soon if you have that going for you?

a student employee
The whole existence of the NCAA is meant to protect universities from having to refer to and, thus, pay players as employees. So, this sees doubtful.

That's like me robbing a bank and posting about it on social media. "I bet I get a knock on the door from the police in the next 24 hours."
... Knock, Knock.
Called it! Look at me, I'm Nostradamus.

Holy shite you really are that naive. It's adorable.
Do you think Isaiah Crowell is the type of guy that turns down money to play somewhere for free?

Bama issued charger-check.

You realize this was in response to a subtle accusation that Bama was cheating from a UGA fan, right?

This all clearly Hugh Freeze's fault. Buggs just got Ole Miss another year of NCAA investigations.

Maybe he just has really awful business sense and went and got a car note that he is banking on being able to afford in a year or two when he goes pro?
There's a decent possibility this car was given to him by someone affiliated with Bama so that he would come to Bama.
With that said, there are plenty of people in plenty of walks of life that are driving around in cars they can't afford.

read the post string again...gump asked how UGA could ever win a recruting battle against bama. I said some kids may simply like UGA better, to which he responded that would basically be impossible since we dont' play for titles.
As for cheating, I have never said that we don't, because I know that we do. But that wasn't really what the posts were about, at least to me.
