Did anyone see this coming (I didn't) ? And if they hire Petrino and a good DC...watch out.

A big name school will NEVER hire Petrino. Not sure why people keep thinking that will happen.

All comes down to Vandy.

I don't see them beating anyone else besides Georgia Southern

I was hoping they would give FSU a run but that looks like a beatdown. SCar gets them I think. Vandy is the key to a non-losing season.

I think a small camp of people believed last years 11 win season was a fluke and Florida was over-hyped coming in to 2013. I am not overly shocked that they are so abysmal this year.

a Blind man should be able to recruit Top 10 classes to Fla every year. Not BOOM. He gone...

Well, I didn't think they were a powerful 11 win team but...

IMO, what Petrino did was bad enough to get him fired, but not bad enough to weigh him down for the rest of his career. He's a damn good college football coach. He's learned his lesson and will not screw up like that again. He still has a lot of prime years left.

Petrino would win a lot at UF. It would be similar to the Spurrier era at UF.

If UF loses to GSU, Boom might actually get fired.

Hell No

Win, yes - not like Spurrier though.

I mean, I guess it's somewhat surprising, maybe.... But I think 2011 was more of an indication of what Florida truly is under Champ. Florida's defense was just great enough in 2012 to compensate for the offense being so lousy. The South Carolina game was a perfect example. Florida scored 44 points, mainly because they play with less than half a field most of the game thanks to the D. But, as today is showing, when the D is off their game Florida is simply awful.

I'm starting to be a bit suspicious. We got 17 and I thought 'great D'. But Mizzou doubled that and a crippled UGA is on their way. I dunno man.

IMO you are wrong. Why risk it anyway? He's a good coach, but there are a ton of them out there without the baggage that Petrino has. I could see a Miss. State level job for him but that is his ceiling after the mess he pulled.

I wasn't thinking 5-7, but even with LSU's question marks I wasn't really worried about Florida preseason
