Well by Gawd someone needs to be in decline.

Now the irony if the assistant that said that is an UF coach.

IMO you are wrong. Why risk it anyway? He's a good coach, but there are a ton of them out there without the baggage that Petrino has. I could see a Miss. State level job for him but that is his ceiling after the mess he pulled.

And he might have learned his lesson, but I'm sure he's probably still a gigantic c*ck just like he was at Arkansas. If things keep going bad for UF and they have to fire Muschamp, it would really be risky to hire someone that could cause a toxic atmosphere really fast if everything doesn't go splendid.

I'm starting to be a bit suspicious. We got 17 and I thought 'great D'. But Mizzou doubled that and a crippled UGA is on their way. I dunno man.

Maybe after half the season of being a crutch, the defense is wore out and tired of getting no help from the offense. Nevertheless, it's hard to win consistently if you aren't good in all three phases of the game.

IMO, what Petrino did was bad enough to get him fired, but not bad enough to weigh him down for the rest of his career.

I've moved on to just hoping the the 'LSU is in decline' guy at SEC meeting is an UF assistant. That would be perfect.

So why did you troll it up dipshit?

See, I was more of talking about the ignorant Alabama fans who were going to turn this into a schedule thread. I'm glad I have been wrong.

That being said, I think it is possible for a high profile program to hire Bobby Petrino. For some programs, winning is everything. Of course he would have to be given the shortest leash ever.

Before the season I kept posting Muschamp was a Coach Saban wannabe and would never get close. The Florida posters had a fit when I posted it and now they look like chit

I think a small camp of people believed last years 11 win season was a fluke and Florida was over-hyped coming in to 2013. I am not overly shocked that they are so abysmal this year.

Florida certainly overachieved last season, but how could you have predicted that they would be this bad? They have lost so many playmakers this season; it's not even funny.
