Both teams sucked arse and only avoided winless seasons because of cheating gump refs.

Maybe I'm just biased because I love great defense even though I hate Alabama but I'm going to say that 2011 team. I think the reason why this years team looks so dominant is because the conference is on a down year

False

Edited just for you, but point remains. This OL is not dominant relative to past Bama teams. This team will go only as far as the OL takes them.

Against stronger Ds, they will have to play both roles well to provide options. One player, not to the extent of Chris Capps, has been a liability. They have been inconsistent all year and haven't transitioned well from run to pass blocking. Which, may end up a good thing if rolling out the QB makes Hurts improve in accuracy vs keeping him in a deteroriating pocket where he either runs or has not been as effective passing. Maybe, like the Sundance Kid, he has to move to shoot more accurately.

Overall, OL is good. But, it is one of the major weak spots of the team when looking to compare them to other dominant UA teams.

I don’t know anything about the Lakers.

How are the Cleveland Browns doing?

Bama's offense has to prove efficiency when it matters most, be consistent, and most important have an identity while doing all that. Do this against great defenses and I'll be more comfortable starting of conversation about how great they are. Anyways, winning a CFB championship will be needed before any talk starts to how great this team is because ya gotta walk the walk before one talks the talk...

Bama team this season, just like any Bama team under Saban, has an opportunity to be great! Soon enough, we'll see where this years team ranks historically. The defense greatest is certainly there, but Bama's one-dimensional offense isn't quite there yet. Take last years Bama offense, not being able to get 1st downs late in that championship game cost Bama. Last years Bama defense was the truth, and they held a great Clemson offense in check most of the game. It took so much effort/energy to hold Watson in check, that Bama's defense was spent in the 4th. Gotta say, that QB was one tough SOB! Watson took all those harsh licks and kept on ticking. Kudos to Watson, he should've gotten Heisman also, that simple! Now back to Bama's offense being better, Bama's defense was so spent in that 4th quarter and all they needed was Bama;s offense to buy time to rest. Bama offense failed when they couldn't even string a couple 1st downs together late, and since Clemson's defense was able to create those 3 and outs late. Bama defense was asked to spend energy, they already exhausted, getting Bama into great position while being up 21-10. Football is a team game, great defense isn't always enough (Especially in today game ) gotta have a complete team to win the big prize or you might get Wastoned. So before I give this seasons Bama team anything, one of the things they've gotta prove is they can string a couple first downs together when it matters most.
