Much of what I have been given, I owe to God, my family, and Texas A&M University.
No scandal would change that.

Couldn't have said it better myself

Absolutely nothing will change the myriad positive experiences I had there, the education I received there, or the lasting friendships I formed there.

That place was where my dad matriculated, where numerous relatives of mine were employed long before I was born, and where I met and proposed to the love of my life. People associated with the school can frick up and it would hurt/embarrass me deeply, but I will always bleed maroon.

This. These people saying a PSU scandal are acting as if the entity itself did something. You can hate the corrupt individuals who made your program/alma mater a sham but it wasn't your school, fans, and etc that did it.

So you would not be okay if your school started stealing recruits out from under people and winning championships with no major wrongdoings against the NCAA?

Yes

Yea, the suck, I just don't blame the fans or the university as an entity itself. It's the jack asses up top. PSU fans are asshats by and large but I wouldn't ditch UGA if our higher ups made fricked up decisions. That's on them.

Yea, Penn State style scandal coupled with the cover up would definitely do it.

Also, having a sugar daddy the likes of T Boone Pickens would make me lose some respect for my school.

I've said and trolled some of the stupidest things on this site but goddamn.

The OP and some of the responses are just

I myself wouldn't give up on my fanhood and abandon the school altogether. I would be embarrassed of course like anyone should be.

While it's clear that many people in high up positions did a lot of bad stuff in the Penn State scandal, I mean none of the players knew wtf was happening, none of the fans did, none o f the students, etc.

There were like 3-5 powerful people doing some really bad shite but that doesn't mean the whole program should die for it.
