Is there any scenario in which Bama does not make the playoffs?

I just don't see it, even if they lose a game, don't make the SECCCG or lose at the SECCG. Looks like every playoff contender this year will have at least one loss.

Lose more than one game. The only way that could happen would be for AU to lose another game, beat Alabama, but Alabama still goes to SECCG, then Alabama gets beat by Georgia.

If they lose the SEC championship game, that likely eliminates them

Where'd you get that idea?
Four of the P5 conferences have undefeated teams:
Alabama/Georgia
Penn State/Wisconsin
TCU
Miami
Only the PAC 12 does not.

Doubt it.
But I wouldn't mind them getting left out, or have to lobby hard for the 4th spot, so we can expand the playoffs.

This. If Bama loses at the very end of the season before bowls are announced, they ain't going to the playoff

If Alabama loses to AU and AU wins the West, and UGA wins the SECCG.
At that point, Alabama would have almost zero quality wins and would lose the resume battle with UGA.
