Is there a more delusional fanbase than LSU? by StrawsDrawnAtRandom

Dude,
The situation that happened the week of the hurricane had NOTHING to do with LSU. LSU was not the bad guy.
Why does EVERY Florida fan think that EVERY LSU fan wanted Florida to come to Baton Rouge on October 8 ?
Alleva and LSU would have been thrilled to play in Gainesville on Saturday night, Sunday, or Monday night (just like they did in Tiger Stadium against Tennessee in 2005 after Hurricane Rita!!)

Alleva was told REPEATEDLY by Foley and Sankey before that Thursday that 'the game would be played Saturday in Gainesville,' then abruptly did an about face on Thursday.
LSU rescheduled """"""""""""T W O""""""""""""""" consecutive home games in a """"T H R E E"""" week time in 2005 after Katrina. The Arizona State game scheduled for Tiger Stadium was moved to Tempe (not 'cancelled'), and LSU voluntarily agreed to play there.
TWO WEEKS later, after Rita had battered Texas and La. LSU rescheduled it's Saturday game with Tennessee to 2 days later on MONDAY NIGHT. And guess what? 93,000 people showed up !!!

Why and how is this LSU's fault is beyond comprehension !!
Why is LSU being vilified for not agreeing to the first "offer" by Florida - which was: to give up a home game vs, South Alabama, lose 5 million in revenue, and then having to play THREE CONSECUTIVE SEC ROAD GAMES in 13 days!!!!: Nov. 12 at Arky, Nov 19 at Fla, and Nov. 24 at A&M ??????????????????

Allllllllllll because Florida and Sankey couldn't get there shite together and reschedule the LSU-Fla game to the following Sunday or Monday ??????????

If I'm caricaturing the fanbase, let me know but our options were:

1. Play at an empty Tiger Stadium, losing homefield advantage and having to play in LSU three straight years.

2. Play at an empty neutral location, losing homefield advantage for three straight years.

3. Reschedule the game to Sunday or Monday in Gainesville, wait until the storm passed to see if it was feasible to play it, if not, cancel/postpone at that time.

Instead, you selected

4. Stonewall any and all attempts to find alternatives to get the game played, knowing full well that several teams across multiple states were all having to deal with the same uncertainty you were and were finding ways to make sure they got their games in, and then simply cancel the game in advance.

Of course you all will try forever to spin it some bullshite way that obscures the truth, but the truth is simple:

The Pussy Gators didn't want to play the only game left on their SEC schedule in which they were underdogs. They only agreed to play when they were told they had to by their accomplice Sankey who wilted under public pressure and flipped on them after initially being willing to let them dodge the game. End of story.

Yesterday there was an L5U poster bitching about a call in the 2014 Arkansas game. This is just one example. No L5U poster has any room to complain about anyone else bitching or refusing to "get over" something.

Oh ok. I forget that Bama fans get passes when it comes to bitching.

Funny....that sounds more like LSUs situation to me. LSU was the program perfectly content with letting the game stay canceled...the SEC commissioner even said there was a lack of effort on LSUs part.

But why should we be surprised, Alleva has claimed that this was some big conspiracy against LSU (which most of y'all apparently believe) and Florida was just ducking the game because a few players were injured...yet no one can show any evidence that Florida was scared/unwilling/unprepared.

What's going to happen if Florida wins? Y'all gonna blame it on the Rougarou? Bad gumbo maybe?

You could have played it Saturday night, Sunday or Monday in Lossville.

I would have preferred that to losing a 12th game and having to play in Lossville the next two years.

And lose out on our revenue, crowd noise and advantage.

You can't be serious in claiming this is better for us.

Your agenda is no more important than our own, and that's what makes your fanbase a bunch of screaming children who didn't get their way.

When LSU figured out that Florida was doing everything possible to not play the game, we offered to play Saturday in Gainesville.

Florida still declined.

Now you get to play a healthy Fournette. Enjoy your beat down in November.

True, I also heard there was an earthquake in Haiti several years ago, we better cancel the upcoming Florida and LSU game, just in case.
