How about Kirk, Williams, Ausbon instead of Starkel?

I was going for 1 RB, 1 WR, and 1 QB.

Ausbon is looking like he's going to be the next Nuk Hopkins. Not elite size, not elite speed, but catches damn near everything.

Yeah I know what you were going for. I guess it's a more of best RB, WR, QB combo thread then.

Lots of good combos in the SEC this upcoming season

So you're trying to say Mazzone offered him at UCLA, but didn't really want him? Only to offer him again at A&M.

UCLA wanted and got Modster who committed late.. Starkel couldn't commit unless Modster chose another school than UCLA.

Spavital offered Starkel, Mazzone jumped on him when he came over and saw the depth chart and Blumrick as a signee.

Starkel wasn't recruited as a #1 by OSU, they grabbed him early and went elephant hunting.

Kid decommits in December and had one commitable P5 offer... A&M. But none of that matters in reality, reality is that Starkel wasn't projected to be a P5 starter much less as a RS FR.

Reality hits Sept 3rd, reality has never been on your side.

Kevin Sumlin in season openers (career):

2008: Houston 55, Southern 3
2009: Houston 55, Northwestern State 7
2010: Houston 68, Texas State 28
2011: Houston 38, UCLA 34
*2012: Florida 20, Texas A&M 17
2013: Texas A&M 51, Rice 31
2014: Texas A&M 52, South Carolina 28
2015: Texas A&M 38, Arizona State 17
2016: Texas A&M 31, UCLA 24

*Louisiana Tech was the originally scheduled opener for the 2012 season, which A&M won 59-57.

Reality is that Sumlin, as crappy as a head coach as he is, has a record of 8-1 in season openers...therefore reality IS on our side.

Blumrick was 2017. A complete year later.

Just admit you don't know what you're talking about.

So Blumrick, who signed this past February and is a true freshman now, was a signee before Starkel, who signed in 2016, came on campus?

I know you sips love liberally using the Delorean, but this takes some serious mental gymnastics.
