You do realize that the probability that the home team wins the coin toss is 50% right? You do understand that the away team doesn't automatically get the ball second, right?
Nah, you probably are not aware of any of this. You have proven to be very incompetent.
I suspect you will crawfish on your original argument very shortly, and/or try to convince us all that you were trying to bait us.

And stop with the coin toss shite.

excellent retort backed up by statistical data thanks!
I realize there is a 50% shot at winning the coin toss, but luckily with the gift of hindsight we realize there was a 100% shot that LSU won that coin toss. So they gained a statistical advantage in overtime.
When two teams are evenly matched every small advantage is important. I'm just pointing out that you shouldn't claim home field advantage as a reason your team is superior, and discredit's bama's right to a rematch.

You called it a decided advantage. You did this to make an excuse for your team. This is from your link:
Yes, a decided advantage indeed. Not to mention, the link provides a statistical analysis of the odds, which while useful, in no way is reflective of how overtimes have actually played out on the field.

To put this in perspective, it's a smaller advantage than a team would have if they could start a game with a 1-point lead (0.53 according to the footballcommentary.com Dynamic Programming Model),

Gonna feel weird whipping the SEC Champs for the title though.

This isn't a basis to refute the loss, only to mention that it's foolish to follow the mindset that
"We beat you in your house! lol"
Yes you did, but I'd rather play overtime in death valley where we win the coin toss.
I came on here and took my lumps after the win you guys deserved it, but don't discredit this Bama team on the basis of a fantasy statistical advantage.
You look like a Rantard to claim that Ok. St. with a win over OU is more deserving than this Bama team.
Bama beat Arkansas and lost in OT to LSU, Ok. St. will have beaten #11 OU and lost to Iowa St. in OT.
Ok. St. has done nothing to warrant jumping Bama in the polls.

Liar.
Here's what you are pointing out:

Now, back up this claim with statistical data, or admit you don't know this.

You also ignore the first 60 minutes that were played in your stadium. I look forward to your statistical review of how that actually hurt you as well.

I've already posted two links
One showed over 20 years Bama had a negative stastical advantage playing at home, the other clearly stated a 52% advantage to the winner of the coin flip.
Reading comprehension? I suppose you failed at that.

Don't stop him now. He is branching out into hitherto undiscovered and non-deterministic territories in statistics and probabilities - none of which require proving a hypothesis

Im sure if Bama wins the toss and the game, you would be on here telling LSU fans how we were at an unfair disadvantage.
