I don't see any team challenging Georgia this year, should be an easy coast to the SEC champ game.

Georgia gets Arkansas and Auburn cross division.

Their primary competition, Florida, has a lot of question marks - and plays Alabama and LSU.

Kentucky should be competitive most games but it’s hard to see them winning the division. Play LSU / MSU.

Mizzou could be a dark horse for the division but could also fail spectacularly. Plays A&M / ARK

South Carolina is … not very good right now.

Tennessee is Tennessee.

Vandy is Vandy.

Sounds like Bama’s road to the SECC last year.

Florida should be decent. As much as I hate to admit it, Dan Mullen always gets the most out of his QB, so I expect Emory Jones to be a weapon.

The east is down. UGA is not a playoff team just benefiting from a weak schedule and a bad east.

You people need to make up your mind.

Is it - "now or never for Kirby, he's loaded, team is stacked" or is it "UGA isn't a playoff team, they just have a weak schedule" ?

Bama had to beat #4 A&M.

Florida only had to beat #7 Georgia last year.

Normally, a team like the vols would be the worst of the division, but vandy and SC are on another level of suck. That’s an awful trio of teams.

The SEC will be down until 2025, then it will upgrade to elite status.

Florida is a roller coaster in season... much less out of season. Outside of Gators just don't see anyone really challenging them. Certainly no one else in the East comes close to UGA in terms of sheer talent.

It’s both.. UGA is head and shoulders above everyone in the SEC , except Bama of course.. and the East is down Again.

I do think this year is a hiccup for UF, Starters mg in 2022 I think UF is back and it’s a coin flip in the East from there on out for the foreseeable future.

UGA isn’t a loaded team. 2 weeks from the start of the season with no tune up game and serious doubts/questions remain about the O in general and specifically the Oline and WRs. There are also serious questions about the secondary. And that’s before you realistically look at Daniels and Monken and Kirby in general. You have players and coaches quitting right before the season starts and the lone bright spot seems to be UGA avoided the 5-7 offseason arrests that usually plague them.

But Florida is going with a suboptimal QB (being polite) and lost the O that made them last year. Tennessee is paper thin with so many unknowns to be ridiculous. Mizzou and UK are getting better on paper be both lack overall talent. UofSC and Vandy are just glad they play each other so one doesn’t go winless in the SEC this year. Auburn is above UK/Mizzou but below Tennessee in terms of roster and coaching. Arky and GaTech are about the same level.

So if UGA was a reasonably complete team with decent coaches this would be the year one could be reasonably set to run to a title. Reality is they will lose 3-4 games and will spend the offseason in threads talking about how they were the 4th best team and should have been in the playoffs and how the playoffs need to expand.

We have all seen this movie before and we all know how it ends. The only surprise will be which 2 teams they shite the bed against this year.

So an improvement over last year but still pretty bad?

I would say something closer to needing to be put out of their misery.

Most of the post was a broken record, but once again you are going with 4+ losses for uga. The only times you ever seem to get it right is when nearly unprecedented bad luck occurs.
