Seems like some of the fanbase and media pool are beginning to think the SEC is invincible. Is humility no longer appropriate?

Jesus has taken the form of Urban Meyer and will punish us all.

Until a team from another conference can prove they can beat the best team out of the SEC; I feel like it is completely justified.

Yea, I think some of our fans are becoming too arrogant.

LSU & UGA both lost to OOC opponents last year. Specifically, UGA has lost to OOC opponents in each of the past two years despite representing the SECe in the SEC Championship game

Uhhh....UGA lost to SC and Bama, both in the SEC. LSU lost to Clemson, when that game had absolutely no meaning.

And still, No one can beat the best team out of the SEC, 7 years in a row. But you already knew that.

Which of UGA's 2 losses came from an OOC opponent?

I think you can only use that excuse when you play Utah.

I think it's easy for a top team in the SEC to overlook any bowl game that is not the National Championship game.

College football is no place for humility. Other conferences constantly accuse the SEC of being arrogant, but they're all that way. Hell, the B1G is as arrogant as it gets.
I tend to think of our conference as having a chip on its shoulder that comes from decades of marginalization at the hands of the USCs, Notre Dames, and media who paid very little attention to what went on in the Southeast. Sometimes it comes off as arrogance, and plenty of SEC folks are arrogant even having little notion of that history. But I don't think we're special in being arrogant; we're just currently on top.

Every year ND, Big 10 and Big 12 fans put on a charade about how the SEC isn't that great, their conferences are just as good and their teams would clobber SEC teams.
Every year the Notre Dames, Oklahomas and Michigans and the other banner wavers of their respected confereces play an SEC member and get absolutely crushed.
Honestly the only conference that aren't jackasses about football is the ACC, who has a surprisingly successful track record against the SEC considering how much better we are and NCs won compared to them

for the most part it really is most of us coattailing a a couple of really good teams.
We put in our part, but before and after we have no right to beat our chest about anything...same goes (minus the putting in your part) for most of the other schools in the conference.
