We do occasionally agree on a few things.
aTm will be begging the SEC to let them re-join the Bad XII soon.

If this board is any indication it just seems something more like this:
We used to think we had a rivalry with the Boomers long ago but I think only Texas is the annual game that OU would never willingly give up under any circumstances.
And it’s a great game. You never know quite what to expect year to year.
Always look forward to watching it.

That doesn't really make sense although it probably sounded really clever in your mind.
A&M is currently your daddy. We are currently leading the SEC in wins and undefeated in SEC games. Last time we played, Johnny Football made y'all look like a bunch on schoolgirls trying to play football. You are currently dick-riding UTrans as I write this. We are currently ranked higher than blowU in the polls. Y'all lost to the first Top 10 team you played, who just lost to a team who is not even ranked and your big brother UTrans is ranked #1 but has not even played anyone with a pulse yet.
Sounds to me like chokelahoma is going to be the one begging to get back in the "Bad XII" soon. That seems to be the only place y'all can find any success.

Just because we don't act like European soccer hooligans toward each other (which apparently some rednecks think is necessary for a game to be a "rivalry") doesn't mean we aren't rivals.
It is literally the best sports atmosphere in America. I think both fanbases recognize that and are grateful that we get to be a part of it, because we know everyone else is missing out. So maybe that's mistaken for us being gay for each other or something.

You should write fan fiction...cause that drivel is exactly that. Tell yourself whatever you need to sleep at night, clown.
It is true that the rivalry was nasty back in the day, but that is long since gone. You were thrilled when OU beat Auburn...and sooners were thrilled when you beat Bama last year. Any notion that you guys haven't secretly loved one another during your purgatory in the Big XII over the last decade is nonsense.
What maroon,

considering how obsessed other fans are with this game it clearly is. Did we need another thread about it?
It's a big game between two big brands no doubt. I just don't sense much animosity between the two, but that's just based on what I read on here. There seems to be more hatred between Texas and Aggie.

Well, first off, you're an LSU fan, so I have to defer to you, because you know what being hated feels like.
Second, Texas and Aggie isn't mutual hatred. Texas hatred for OU is tempered by a bit of respect and hatred for A&M is actually disdain (because they rub the weirdness in your face and haven't won much.).
At least that's my somewhat shitty theory.

For decades it was/is a recruiting rivalry.
This game would flip Texas H.S. recruits based on who won.

I'll give you an honest answer. I get why it appears that way and I think I know why. Up until we left the Big 12 every board was littered with OU vs TX hate. The vitriol was hot. Back in the day the ERs in dallas used to keep score as to how many tx vs ou fans showed up after getting the shite kicked out of them on game weekend...true story.
When we announced we were leaving it created this odd "us vs them" vibe with TX and OU fans. A lot of the hate has diminished because of it. Don't worry, it won't take long for the hate to rekindle and there are still a lot on both sides that hate the other side just as much as they always have. Give it time. Trust me.
The Ag rivalry is just as good imo. I know a lot don't agree with me but I've been saying, since the day they left for the SEC, that it's a tragedy we didn't keep it going. It's a hugely important rivalry in this state. Most of us have Horns and Ags in our families and thanksgiving was always fun because of it. So happy it's back. It's different though. I can't take credit for this but I once heard someone sum it up perfectly. We love to beat Oklahoma more but we hate losing to the ags more.

I always enjoyed the hype and stuff about the rivalry as a college fan.
I'd never heard this stuff about it not being a real rivalry until they joined this conference.
Having observed how they interact with each other on this forum I now understand why people say it's not a real rivalry.
Ole Miss vs MSU is a rivalry. I'm not exactly sure what OU vs TX is anymore.
It isn't even UGA vs UF level.

Your school is our doormat.
You want to be Texas so bad, too. It’s even obvious looking at your baseball uniforms.
Sad, really.

Rivalry my arse.
Speaking of arse, aggy wouldn't know a rivalry from a bite on the butt.
What is think of as a rivalry with Texas is nothing more that an annual aggy butt kicking.

12 to 8. I know OU grads tend to not be that smart, but that is 2 away from being .500.

Everyone fails to realize how Horns down effect Texas fans. It puts a small smile on our faces.
We see it everywhere, everywhere we're not. Everyone knows out Hand sign.
Best thing aggy ever came up with.
