Bill Clinton was president the last time A&M even played for a conference title.

Texas spent nearly the last 15 years racking up almost as many losing seasons

Yet in the CFP era Texas has more top 25 finishes (4) than A&M (3).

Take out 2005 and they had not had a consensus NC in football since the 70s.

True but we've played for 2 more. Georgia beat us 10-9 in 1983 because we muffed a punt at the end of the game, and we all know Colt woulda won in 2009.

Texas loves blowing title chances, unfortunately. But Ole Miss we are not.

The difference in Texas A&M and Texas for the last 50 years is Texas had VY in 2005. That's really it.

Now if you are talking baseball and basketball that is different.

Ole miss and tu have the same number of losing seasons since 2010.
2010? What an odd place to start, wonder where we were just before that? Your hapless program hasn't even PLAYED in a game where the winner takes all since before WWII.

2010 is the beginning of a decade, which makes it reasonable.

Couldn’t you do the same thing for a lot of schools?

Take out 1 year they won it all and they’re not all that great. But you can’t just remove that year. It still counts.

In the last 50 years, Texas has 8 top five finishes. A&M has 2.

In the last 50 years, Texas has 14 top ten finishes. A&M has 7.

It gets worse if you just do the last 25 years. A&M has not even played for a conference title in those 25 years. You have to go back to Bill Clinton's presidency to find a year where A&M was playing for their conference title.

Texas has been in contention for National Championship the final week of the regular season maybe 5 times (01, 05, 08, 09, 24) in the last 25 years I think.

I don’t think A&M has been in that conversation once.

Nah. Colt McCoy led teams that beat the Buckeyes in the Fiesta Bowl and then played for a NC against Alabama.

Manziel who could have accomplished something similar with his skill-set never quite had the complete team around him to do it.

I can't remember the last time A&M was in contention for a conference title the last week of the regular season.

Even their joke Covid year team that Billy Liucci loves to brag about (signature win was by 3 points at home over a 4 loss Florida team that the Big 12 runner up absolutely destroyed).

In fact they have one that hasn't lost to Texas in football since 2008

America was on the gold standard the last time Texas had a non 2005 national title.

Texas is garbage and now that they are even somewhat good (thanks to Alabama/Saban btw), they use basketball achievement banners to gas their program up.
