Clearly, we have tanked to begin SEC play, but suspensions and injuries have been pretty signficant (and I like a coach that will sit a player that fricks up). Posts are better today (after winning last night) but recent days have had the torch and pickaxe brigade calling for Kennedy's head.

To me, the guy has done the best job getting talent there that I can recall. May not get the most out of them the way BCG did, but also is not flaming out and killing himself in the process. His fight against Parkinson's is certainly an uphill battle, though.

Question: Am I being too Pollyanna in saying that Kennedy does a good job getting talent in the door and should get some time to get better as a coach to avoid these slumps of underachievement? (In other words, are TexAgs posters just being their normal potbanger selves?)

This is the only reason he is still our coach. It has nothing to do with him being a shitty coach, but him and our dumbass fans(yeah youre one of them) bring it up every time someone talks about his job performance.

hes a good christian man. improved the APR of the program. cares about these young kids off the court. some things are just more important than winning.

Holy frick. The whole fanbase is poisoned. Y'all are the cancer that is keeping Aggie Athletics from ever being anything but a joke.

Nice to have, but that is not my rationale for keeping him. He has pulled in some pretty impressive talent, got us to the S-16 in '16, and we were at (an inflated) #5 in the polls 3 weeks ago. We beat W Va by 20+ to open the season. Yes, the slump sucks, but it's not like the season has been a disaster (yet).

The on-court success is what matters. The record (to me) in frustratingly inconsistent, but I see a baby and bathwater issue here.

What are you, like 9 years old? I get that the Rant can be irreverent and childish, but this is just amateur-hour stuff.

Now, had you expressed the same sentiment in GIF form (especially with an iguana), you might have been given some credit.

Wouldn't you know that better than non-ags?

Actually, there are some non-Aggie Ranters that lurk or post on TA and can compare the two.

One thing I really like about the Rant is that the mix of schools keeps any one of them from getting too groupthinky about their program (well, 13 of us, anyway).

The analogy is that TexAgs is to Aggie sports as the PT board is to politics. Don't go to either of them looking for nuance and balance.

Can't take any chances. The sympathizers are no longer hiding in the bushes, they are out in force today.

My problem with Kennedy is that he just ain't getting it done on the court. Without someone like Stansburry to do the coaching for him, or Alex Caruso to lead on the court, he is helpless. Sure he can get talent, but he can't do anything with it.
