Is it still a dominant performance if you give up 48 points?

It is a dominant offensive performance.
And DJS was correct when he said we shut them down the second half. They had one offensive TD in the second half. We did not adjust well in the first half, but made adjustments at halftime and did a really good job shutting them down in the second half.

Now. If your question is "Did Georgia dominate Oklahoma?" No. But we certainly did a dominant performance when you consider that we were down by 14 at the half (except for a record breaking FG it would have been 17) and came back to tie them at the end of the game.

I would also go so far as to say that Oklahoma's offense put in a dominant performance in the first half. And almost unbelievable performance in the first half considering they did it against a team that was known for its defense. But they scored something like 10 points offensively in the second half which, after the first half, would be considered dominant. The difference between the first half and the second half was startling.

Long running plays between the tackles are a credit to the player not the play call.

We used to run power (never under Coley it seemed). You absolutely can credit the playcalling when you outnumber the defense with pulling guards or center. The tailback could be up against a safety before the responsibility for yards falls upon the position of running back.

Look, my honest opinion is we went into the game with a bad defensive game plan and failed to adjust to what Oklahoma was doing. Probably because both teams were scoring so easily and quickly the coaches simply did not have time to make in depth adjustments on the sidelines.

At halftime, the coaches made the adjustments necessary and our defense most certainly dominated Oklahoma's offense.

If it were not for our offense we would have fallen way behind. We got ourselves in a shootout and we knew we could not win a shootout.

All that said, I think Chaney gets a bit of a raw deal for his time at Georgia. There were times in which he got stubborn and wanted to run straight up the middle on 3rd and short yardage, but with our OLine we should have been able to do that. but overall, I think he did a pretty good job. Great? No. Good? Yes.

I agree overall with what you are saying, but that defense of Oklahoma's was just awful. They had no clue about where to lineup, what their responsibilities were...they tackled sloppily, took poor angles. I mean it was inexcusable at that point in the season to have all those issues.

But, this is not disagreeing with your point. just adding another layer.

Ever? Ummm...ok.
Just FYI...UT is the 10th winningest college football team of all time despite the last twenty miserable years.
There is too much money and pride in Knoxville for the program not to do what it takes to return to the upper echelon.
Just got to hire the right coach.
Maybe that’s Pruitt.
We will soon know.
Give him 2-3 more years.

e threw for 388 yards and 3 tds the week before he played Tennessee. He had 3 games in 2015 where he threw for less than 200 yards...Tennessee, Oklahoma State and TCU. BTW...He threw for over 300 yards against Clemson in the FBS Semis...

No one gives a shite what he did vs AKRON either. Y'all didn't face the much more experienced Baker that played against Clemson either.

Dude...he threw for over 2300 yards in college (against Big 12 competition) before coming to Oklahoma. He was a 21 year old that had thrown 50 more passes in his 1 season of college play than the UT QB (Josh Dobbs) had thrown in 2 complete seasons. Heck...he had 95 attempts in the two games against Baylor and Texas as a Freshman at Texas Tech. It isn't like he was a kid who just got onto campus.

Looooooooool. Imagine comparing Nebraska’s situation to TN’s.

Nebraska literally is fricked with their recruiting base.

He wasn’t a kid who just got onto campus, and he also wasn’t the heisman winner. I would have much preferred to play the baker y’all played than the one we played.

I would have much rather had the offensive coordinator yall did when we played them. We would have been fine.
