No, UGA won this year on the strength of their front 7 depth a TE coupled with a soft schedule. Bennett doesn’t morph into a decent QB because of the front 7 depth and a TE coupled with a soft schedule. He’s the same short, average arm at best not athletic enough to mitigate the arm and height issues QB he was 5 years ago.

might he elevated himself imo to the level of AJ McCaron and Johnny Manziel.

I’d take Stetson every time over those two.

He would have been killed behind our line in the early part of the season.

He is the most elusive QB at UGA in my lifetime.
I was born in the 70s.

My guess is that Fran Tarkenton was the last QB to be this elusive at UGA. There may be some other QBs in the 70s that I don't know as well.

If you blitz more than we have blockers, he knows he is responsible for that free runner. And he usually wins that battle over and over and over.

You should probably just stop posting.

This is all from one thread:

quote:

With the current QBs and WRs on roster do you honestly believe a Monken could get 4,000 yards out of that group? The answer is no.

Nothing special at WR or QB on UGAs roster. The best QB is once again likely transferring because Kirby is piss all at managing a QB room.

quote:

Why? He personally lacks the durability and arm to be in an O that puts up 4,000 yards. UGA doesn’t have the WRs to do it and Kirby doesn’t have the mentality to do and Monken doesn’t have the system to do it.

quote:

If it makes feel better I doubt Bennetts regular yards plus practice yards add up to 4,000. In fact if he is the starter on game 4 Kirby will lose the QB room.

You’re a damn genius dude

UGA won a playoff.
Beat 7 ranked opponents.

Stetson Bennett is the #1 QB in the country against ranked AP opponents and it isn't close.

Don't change, Smokey.
I love these posts. You are like Amelia Bedilia. The lovable idiot maid that makes our lives brighter with your shared wisdom.

Was about to say - not sure he has much ground to stand on wading into a "UGA and Stetson in 2022" thread.

He's as good a college QB as there is. I don't get the angst.

Some of y'all believe the more talent, the better the QB. Sometimes its the smarter, more dedicated guy.

Him and lsufball19 are the real MVPs around here.

Smokey has so many bad/wrong takes he’s surpass the character limit on here and lsufball was saying that Stetson is no better than JJ McCarthy less than 3 weeks ago

And Puppets just started a patented "here is a bad take, look over there a cat! prove this thing I said wrong the burden of proof is on you" thread about Georgia.

Things are really picking up around here!

Jayden Daniels managed to, and he isn’t that good.

Needed his athleticism to win.

Our O-line was BAD to start.

Yeah, I just don't see him running and scrambling as well as JD.

JD is a bit faster and a bit more shifty, but Stet is better at pocket awareness and throwing on the run IMO

Maybe so.

ETA: I absolutely believe Stet has better pocket awareness. I'm not sure about throwing on the run, mainly because when Daniels decides to leave the pocket, it's quicker for him to fly downfield 10 yards than it is to look for an open receiver.

He wouldn't do squat as QB of SC, Auburn, KY, Vanderbilt, A&M or any other average or subpar team. The guy has all day to throw and a big running game to free up the passing game. Sure, he throws an accurate ball, and he's quick, but put him on an average team, and he's an afterthought.

Stetson is 25 years old.

He is just smarter about pressure. Honestly.

Maybe Daniels develops better. But right now against pressure, I'm still riding Stetson. The 2 time national champion.

Johnny Manziel is a different tier. A talent like Johnny can carry an otherwise average team.

Johnny was bailed out quite a bit by this dude named Mike Evans.
