WTF kind of rationale is this?!? That just damn stupid.

Lou holtz catches a lot a flack for being a notorious usce/ND homer. Cant say I blame him he just takes it a tad too far.

i mean they can have seniors when we have, you know, better players... who also happen to mostly be seniors and juniors

What's stupid is you didn't understand the significance of having a senior dominated lineup. UGA only has 2 seniors (out of 8 players) on the 2-deep at linebacker. I gave UGA the edge overall based on talent, but pointed out that USC's starting linebackers (including the spur) are all seniors (5 of 6 overall).
It should be obvious even to the meanest intelligence. Seniors have more experience, more physical and mental maturity, use better technique, make fewer mistakes, understand the defense better, read the offense better, and are better leaders. Those are not "measurables" but they are huge factors on the field.

By your "logic" Joe cox shouldve been an all American as a 5th year senior. If you're good, you're good. Jarvis, tree, Herrera, gilliard, and Robinson are better than sc's and its not real close.

No -- using Joe Cox simply highlights UGA's poor quarterback development. You see the same thing with Aaron Murray -- no improvement from year to year. A better example on your team might be Kwame Geathers -- or Clowney on ours.
As to linebackers, fine, you convinced me. I'll argue it the way y'all do. USC's linebackers are both more experienced and more talented.
I'll give you Jarvis Jones as the best -- he is this year's Melvin Ingram.
After that, Shaq Wilson, Reginald Bowens and Devonte Holloman are better than any other linebacker on UGA's roster.

Georgia doesn't play anyone. Of course they look better than us.
They looked better than us the past two years as well.

I don't think your assertion holds water. Our schedule is easier, but at this point in time that's a stupid argument.
As for looking better in pervious years, I agree, we have and you still won. Doesn't mean that Lou Holtz is not a blithering idiot.

UGA's poor quarterback development.

David Greene 2nd winningest QB in CFB History...
D.J. Shockley Won 11 games & a SEC Championship in his one year...
Matt Stafford... No 1 NFL draft pick...
Joe Cox...sucked
A. Murray from 6 wins as a FR to 10 wins, as a So., will win at least 12 as a JR. Will break all of UGA's QB records by the end of the year. If he comes back for '13 will break every major SEC record for a QB except for Greene's win record...

So how do you gather that SC is not better than UGA?
We have a better defense, and our offense is clicking with our BACKUP QB. The only real playmaker y'all have on D is JJ, and nobody is really all that worried about Gurley.
Aaron Murray might be good, but he's good for an INT or two.
Oh I'm sorry, I meant "gifts".

Neither team is decisively better than the other. I think UGA is slightly better all around, but the game between the two will be a very close one.

If you truly believe that, I feel sorry for you and you should be wearing a soft helmet.
That poor development includes the SEC all time winningest QB (formally the NCAA before Colt McCoy), a #1 overall draft pick, and multiple SEC championship winners. (still waiting for Spurrier to have one he "develops" at USC)
quote:
You see the same thing with Aaron Murray -- no improvement from year to year.
YEAR TEAM CMP ATT PCT YDS AVG TD LNG INT RAT

The mere fact that Murray is on pace to become the all time leading passer in SEC history would qualify as "improvement" from year to year. But don't let facts get in the way of a good message board dick measuring contest. Simple fact is USC and UGA square off on Oct. 6th. Let it play out.

Better lay that shite down on the table then, because I will talk shite up until, during, and after the game. Win or lose.
