Yes, the majority of his "points" make no sense.
You've got a mental block put up for some reason. His points are pedestrian by now - except to those who just refuse to digest what's going on.
As a Texas grad, it's fine with me. We're going to win our share, no matter what you choose to blame it on.

Mizzou was bad due to lack of NIL and transfer portal rules change. Now look at Mizzou in the last two years. Give some schools time to adjust and get better players to compete against top teams in the near future.
A good coaching staff and weak schedules has more to do with Mizzou's success than NIL or the portal.

Is Notre Dame football now back in the national picture or not?
I think yes.
You either refuse or fail to understand the writer's point.
Notre Dame has been in the national picture for awhile now.
The "points" make no sense.

There’s no telling what the future of the “blue blood” With NIL its all about who is going to buck up. There will always be programs like Ohio State & others that have built a winning tradition, have national fanbases & strong ability to raise NIL money. However, as you see in the NFL, you can buy players, but they have to be the right players, the right chemistry & the right staff. NIL has evened the playing field. If a program is willing to pay, they can win. So everything a program did in the past may not be as big a factor going forward. Not to mention the expanded CFP gives dark horse teams the chance to win a natty. The ‘blue bloods” of the past lost their advantage; the ability & willingness to pay players under the table, knowing the slap on the wrist from the NCAA was the likely consequence. That day in age is over. Will there still be programs that recruit better & have more money, sure, but now the other power 5 schools got a shot.

Is it tough to recruit at Oklahoma? Just curious.
I am guessing most assistant coaches in the SEC can travel, visit a recruit, and be back by dinner for half their prospects.

You could swap the words Oklahoma and Alabama in this story also. Of course we know that as well.
Bitch please.....
There was no greater collection of corrupt, payer-playing scum and villainy than the former SWC you turds resided in for decades, but it was everybody else who was cheating and not lil ol texsa right?

You may find this difficult to believe, but Oklahoma has always been located in the same geographical place in which it exists today.

"Competed" is a strong word here. Only time they were legitimately competing for a national championship in the last 20 years was 2008. All those playoff appearances after beating up on a terrible Big 12 they were not legitimate title contenders. They were essentially a bye for the 1 seed, would you call a 16 seed in the NCAA tournament a title contender?

OU used to be one of the only programs consistently shown on national TV, and they were also allowed to cheat while smaller schools like SMU were used as an example. Now that y'all have lost those advantages, it's certainly much harder to recruit to OU. Recruits don't care that OU was good before they were born

lol OU recruiting has been just fine. Even the last 3 years Including top 10 classes in 23 and 24. Certainly much better than Misery lol.

IF they were still in the B12 yes, but not anymore. How can you be a top 10 National job and be 7th’ish in your conference?
For NIL and recruiting footprint today they are unquestionably behind the following teams and have no chance of stealing their head coach:
1. Alabama
2. Texas
3. Florida
4. LSU
5. Georgia
6. A&M
They are in the SAME neighborhood as:
7. Auburn
8. Tennessee
9. Ole Miss
They are being head hunted by and could lose to these teams any given year due to proximity of talent:
10. South Carolina
11. Mizzou
12. Arkansas
If they’d of stayed in the B12 they’d have a meal ticket to the playoffs. Now? No way.

SMU wasn't "made and example of", tigger.
They arrogantly thumbed their nose at the NCAA after they got caught and just kept on flagrantly cheating and cheating some more until the NCAA decided to end them. And so they did.......

Yes, it is. All it takes is the right coach to turn it around in two to three years. Alabama was deemed "dead, never to return" then they got the right coach and within three years they were back on the map.

Stop, just stop. If you don't think UTx was cheating just as much as OU and Alabama you are truly an idiot. Texas cheated and lost, while OU and Alabama cheated and won. It's a gamble, even in cheating. Cheating doesn't guarantee success. Outside of Vanderbilt, I can guarantee you every SEC school has been cheating or trying to cheat forever. But when everyone is cheating it doesn't make everyone winners. There will be those who cheat and still lose. Your program was just one of those who still lost. Stop with the nonsense.

Last year was a throw away year for OU. It was the 1st year in the conference everything was new. One of the hardest schedules in the Country{OU has the hardest schedule this year}. A new OC that got fired a few games in. Top 6 wide receivers and 4 O lineman out for the year with injury's. Oh and playing 2 freshman QB's. Nobody could have done anything with that.
Now with a new OC, an actual QB coach, a top QB, and healthy WR and OL to go with a top defense this year should look much different despite the schedule. People forget BV won 10 games 2 years ago with Dillon Gabriel.
