13-1 had the same effect...

the discussion of Miles on the hot seat, when the team has averaged, what, 10 wins a season over his tenure? If you average 10 wins a season anywhere, that is success. There's too much luck involved in a schedule that only has 12 games and each game can be decided by one play. Miles is 2nd awesomest coach next to spurrier

Spurrier is awesome but your homerism is 2nd to none.

He could probably save his job if he could squeeze out six wins. But lack of talent coupled with bad assistants makes this highly unlikely.

We fired Shula one year after a 10 win season.

But we are Bama.

No regrets.

he's a good coach, there as long as he wants to be. the only job he would take is bama's after saban leaves.

He has been on a warm seat since he arrived in 2005. 2009 he almost got fired with the TAF A list wanting to send him packing . He is safe for now . huge recruiting class next year

Ya he barely kept his job last season

I think this coming 6 win season does it

I think we'll get a better coach after, I hear Dooley is still around.

Well, Derek Dooley did coach under Saban, so there's that . . .

And, we could hear from his mother Barbara incessantly. That would be a real joy.

Us Aggies look at it like this:

Texas Longhorns = We don't want Mack Brown going anywhere. We want him as coach for the Longhorns for a long time.

Louisiana State Tigers = We don't want Les Miles going anywhere. We want him as coach for the Tigers for a long time.

Hotset lol. Has anyone seen the size of his contract and buyout? He could lose every game for 3 years and he wouldn't be on the hotseat.

So, after he beats you 3 times in a row this year you want him to stick around?

"You" Aggies are funny. Miles is 20-4 in SEC play over the past 3 years. But, yeah, I guess you are right though.

Maybe we will just keep him.
