Pre 2000, it was a competition between LSU and Georgia. Don’t think I’d say LSU has underachieved since 2000

Alabama has greatly benefited from their cross division annual matchup (Tennessee) sucking for the last 15 years

On top of the fact that they've played Vanderbilt more often than anyone else currently in the SEC West.

in order to measure achievement, don’t you have to identity expectations first?

as an example, if these are the expectations for the number of times each team thought they should win the division from 2012-2022

then, I think you could say.. since 2012

Tennessee has underachieved the most followed closely by Texas A&M.

Missouri overachieved the most.

Lots of teams just go through the motions each year praying for a miracle, but knowing they will always come up short.

So if you agree, perhaps we should identify how many times each of the 16 teams “expect” to make the playoffs over the next 5, 10, 20 years.

From there, it’s easy to say..
this team underachieved.. etc

I’d say 2006, 2010, and 2011 counts as something.

It's clear to see that you've been drinking way too much of that Ole Piss.

Please don't get into a battle of wits with a far superior being...you aren't equipped to do so.

I dislike most LSU fans with exception to my buddy that I have know for 35 years or since 4th grade. He is actually quite smart.

But HELL no as much as I hate to say it. They are the 3rd most successful SEC team in modern times.

I am barfing now and feel very ill....

They're #3 in the SEC since integration. I wouldn't call that underachieving.

The two biggest underachievers WERE Georgia and A&M. Georgia now appears to finally be turning the corner, but how they were only recently able to win national titles when located right next to a population center of SIX MILLION PEOPLE (Atlanta) is one of life's great mysteries. A&M is located next to Houston and its 7 million people and has tons of oil money flowing in and still managed to lose 8 games last season with a coach who previously won a natty at another school.

Valid point and only followed by Hog fans. The Big 12 pretenters are excluded.

But this ignores the question at hand. And the OP is clearly trying to cook up some Gumbo.

Interesting.

What advantages?

al with….yet most years they don’t do shite

Other than being one of the more successful programs by many measures, especially this century.

How embarrasing.

Three 10 win seasons isn't very good in 30 years.

Built in advantages?

Maybe Arkansas, Ole Miss and State have built in excuses.
