I have a feeling they would be better but still average. I think Jimbo is a better more consistent coach than Ed

Probably good enough to beat UF

8-4 or 9-3 with an average QB. Will look a lot like the Les Miles era LSU teams.

I’m starting to get a Gene Chizic vibe from O...one magical season with a generational quarterback then

They started looking pretty good at the end of 2020. They have plenty of dudes that can play. I think they will be good, but I have a feeling the Coach O tenure is going to have some big highs and relatively big lows (for LSU anyway).
Alabama will be rebuilding even more than usual. Auburn will probably have growing pains as well as they move on from the Gus era and they have had some big holes in recruiting that are going to show up. The West will be pretty open and LSU could win it.

I wonder how y’all’s attrition this year will compare to ours last year. I can’t imagine it’s near as much but maybe close

The person that knows the most is Texag7.
He will say that it doesn't matter since Alabama (will put an behind it) will win the West.

2022 is probably the year to be on the lookout for LSU to make a playoff run. 2021 will be good, but lacking the experience at key positions will cost us a few games. As an LSU fan, I’m expecting 9-3 or 10-2 with a good chance at a bowl win to springboard into 2022.

Oline and dline will be much better next year IMO

I think we’ll be 9-3, 10-2. Maybe 11-1 if TDP has a good off-season and breaks out. I really think we should use Max Johnson with Myles like we did Perrilloux with Matt Flynn. I think 2022 is gonna be the year we make the playoffs or win it all. All of our freshmen db’s that broke out this year will be juniors, Tyrion Davis Price and Emery will both be seniors, assuming one of both of them don’t catch fire next year and forgo their sr year. Of course it doesn’t mean diddly shite if we can’t recruit o-line better. We shall see.

Fisher is 2&1 vs Orgeron, Saban is 3&1. More of the same next year.

I've seen as many as 18 players projected for the 2021 draft although I imagine a couple of these will go undrafted and a few may decide to return.
Smitty
Patrick Surtain
Alex Leatherwood
Jaylen Waddle
Mac Jones
Najee Harris
Christian Barmore
Landon Dickerson
Deonte Brown
Christopher Allen
Josh Jobe
Phidarian Mathis
Dylan Moses
Brian Robinson
Chris Owens
Miller Forristall
Daniel Wright
LaBryan Ray
Hopefully won't have anyone quit/sit out though.

Bringing back 16-18 starters, plenty of experience, plus better coaching (can’t get worse than last year), and 3 QBs with starts.
Compared to this year where they had 3 returning starters and a clown DC.
Plus home games line up better in odd years. I believe Florida, Auburn, and A&M.
