no the Saints historically are a non factor

Not sure I’ve ever watched a Pelicans game

Don’t even have a mlb team despite all the baseball pride.

Texas, Georgia and Florida are much bigger sports states

Per capita? College? Putting people in the pros? Coaches? Everything? Everything would be interesting.

I think Alabama could hold its own in the "everything" category even without a pro franchise just off the athletes the state produced. And Bama football. Bleh having to type that.

Florida, by a wide margin I would imagine.

3 P5 college football programs who have won national championships in the last 20 years.

2 NFL teams who have won Super Bowls.

An NBA team with multiple championships.

An MLB team with multiple championships.

An NHL team with a Stanley Cup.

Softball championships

Baseball championships

Gymnastics championships

Etc...

AFC title berth and perennial contender in the Chiefs
Historically perennial championship contenders in the Cardinals
Blues are defending Stanley Cup champions and the future is bright
Royals recent champs, but........yeah
One of the few states that has a title in the big 4 leagues
and lastly, Mizzou took back what is rightfully theirs. The East.

Yea I mean Missouri, Texas and Florida are all up at the top there.

Georgia clearly #1 for most creative ways to kick ourselves in the nuts sportswise. Without a close #2.

The 7 spot in the 1st warmed my heart just a little.

I truly don't hate this Nats bunch. I really don't want them to win the World Series, but they're a good bunch of dudes.
