Is the SEC Rant still 99% composed of idiots (I'm in the 1% category) posting junk-filler questions like this?

Yes.

Do you know what a blue blood is?

I've tried explaining this several times to tRant and it never works. Blue blood status is something that happened long ago, it doesn't go away and it doesn't happen for anyone new to the scene.

It's like people have no experience with blue blooded high society. Oh wait, I'm on the rant....

Simple, no!

UK Football has won more postseasons games (3) since 2019 than UK MBB has (1).

Why is it stupid? Don't you have to win a championship at least once a decade to be a blue blood? They are now on whatever level Indiana is. A once proud dynasty slowly rotting away...

Don't you have to win Championships to be a blue blood. Is that not how it works? Have I been getting it wrong?

no

People truly don't have any concept of what the term means.

In American society, Blue Bloods are families that can trace their heritage to the Mayflower, things like that. Bill Gates and Elon Musk are not Blue Bloods, because their lineage isn't shite.

In sports, Blue Bloods are the teams that have always been there going back to, at this point, nearly a century. Kentucky basketball, Kansas basketball, Alabama football, Michigan football, Notre Dame football.

Miami football is not a blue blood, not even with their run. UConn basketball wasn't shite until the 80's.

This is silly.

Theoretically it’s been 5 down years (roughly).

Outside of that Kentucky has won championships with 5 different coaches. They’ve won an NC in every decade since the 1940s sans the 60s, 80s, and the 00s. And they had a Runner-Up in the 60s. They’ve had at least 1 Final Four in every decade since the 1940s. By your definition, no one in CBB is a blue blood.

It’s a rough patch right now but it’s not anywhere close to the claims that we’re Notre Dame/Nebraska or even Indiana Basketball.

Of course they are. That isn’t even up for debate.

The question you should have asked is Kentucky still considered an elite basketball program? Now… that is debatable.

There is no “next tier”. You either are, or aren’t, a Blue Blood.
