For the talent on the team, is Howland currently the most underachieving coach this year?

I don't know but that team is loaded with talent. Huge intimidating front line, quick guards who can shoot, young kids getting better (Perry, Woodard).
No doubt, they are a good team. Was just looking at the standings see what stood out so far. Seems like there are really only three coaches that could be put into the underachieving category currently White, Howland and Drew. Obviously Drew is facing a serious injury issue but as other have said, they shouldn't be this bad.

Yeah, looking at their record, it isn't like I see a bunch of games they shouldn't have lost. Just more expected them to be at the top than in the middle. They could easily end the year on a 5-2 run though.

Tyree or Waters are the best IMO, even tho Tyree has mainly played the 2 guard due to Kermits offense. Bone comes in after them.

We have lost some close games. Five of our six conference losses have been by four or five points respectively.
So we need to do better closing out some of these games with wins. One example, we led LSU most of the game, missed a lay up at the end of the regulation that would have won it.
This next week with games @Arky and @UGA will tell us more about State. The second half of the UK game and the entire Bama have been easily our best 60 minutes of the year. The key now, is consistency. Can we maintain that and build on it? We will see. I am encouraged and cautiously optimistic but the proof will come on the hardwood in the coming days.

Waters made Hagans and Quickley look pretty bad the other night. Neither could keep up with him and neither got going on the offensive end.
Waters is pretty amazing to watch, definitely the most "wow" plays of any PG in the conference. He plays very high risk high reward though. He's an ok 3 point shooter, but helps himself in that he's a good DEEP 3 point shooter. The 1 thing that will always be tough for him is being 5'9, but he does make up for that a lot of ways.
I know some will point to his jacking up a lot of shots, but honestly, that's really a part of the offense. We are the best offensive rebounding team in the conference and Waters gets SO much attention when he generally puts up a shot a LOT of times his misses get rebounded by us and he knows that. It'd be interesting to see individual player's missed shots rebounded by own team %, but I don't think anywhere tracks that by player. He can get 3-4 defenders sucked in on him when he drives and it leaves a guy like Reid, KBW, Williams, Days or Taylor wide open for a put back or easy O board because everyone forgets to block out. That's what happens when Waters is able to blow by whoever is guarding him, and he does that a ton.
He wont be drafted, again height concerns, but he will absolutely light up the G-league get on a 2-way contract really quick. IF he makes a 15 man roster after that, up to him, but no doubt I see him playing some in the NBA.

If I had to guess, I would probably have a 5-2 finish. Maybe even 6-1 if things go right. The whole emergence of Ole Miss as thrown it off a bit because almost everyone had that marked down as an easy W. Y'all haven't played 3 of the 4 bottom teams yet.

I guess but did anyone have UGA outside of the bottom 3. Wins are still lower than expected but I tend to give him more leeway since it is the first year unlike those other coaches.

I think the biggest is Crean wants his team to play fast and they aren’t built to do so right now. If they tried to slow tempo down and make it a half court game they would be a lot better.

To me, Harper comes across as lazy without the ball. He is constantly walking around the court.

Yup.
Waters is the most explosive and has the most game changing potential, but Harper has been the most consistent. 1a and 1b
