Bama-UT is pointless and it ruins everyone else's out of division schedule....

I rooted for LSU last night, now shut up
Posted on 10/18/15 at 8:21 am to AlwaysPutsSeatDown
How does it ruin everyone's out of division schedule. I literally want to know

Love how LSU's daddy issue with Bama makes them completely forget about all the other permanent games.

This thread is pointless and wasting time on it has ruined my schedule...

When you have no real tradition you don't understand.
Sorry corn dogs, you are a good team and hard to beat but you are not our rival

You are right...if we played the 'Dores every year I'd keep the status quo.

Just LSU doesn't have a real historical rival doesn't mean you should crap on everyone that does.

Just play the VOL out of conference. Alabama used to play Ole Miss as an out of conference game under the Bear

It's time to fix the SEC insane schedule, yes. Mizzou has been in the SEC going on four years now and still hasn't played at/home vs LSU.
As it stands now, LSU won't play South Carolina again for 17 years.
I don't care what the fix is at this point. New divisions, more conference games, different rotations...I'm good with anything that doesn't involve excessive amounts of time between playing conference opponents.

LSU Fan
Alabama and Tennessee fans have TSIO. Auburn and Georgia fans have The Deep South's Oldest Rivalry. LSU fans have The Permanent Cross Division Opponent We Always Bitch About Having To Play.

I like that idea.

The fix is easy. Nine conference games and you go back to the way it was...one permanent opponent and rotate the others two out of every six years.

In your coaches mind we are his biggest rival you can tell by his demeanor after games.

This. You can't be in a conference and not play the people in your conference.
A conference shouldn't exist to place privilege on certain games over others.
If these games are so important to the culture of Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia, then put them all in the same division. Who cares if it's fair or not competition-wise? All that matters, apparently, is that the games are preserved at all costs.
So choose. You want sacred games or balanced divisions? Because the conference schedule sucks the way it is.
As for the "you don't have a tradition/rival, so you don't understand" argument, well, you're right. We don't have a rival, so we're not blinded by the bias that comes with it. You can't understand OUR position because it's "TSIO, no matter what."
Again, is it really TSIO no matter what? Because there's a solution for that. Switch divisions.

I don't care what the frick the rest of you do as long as we keep playing this game.

Maybe that has something to do with the cross burning in Baton Rouge celebrating his return.
