Is this what Les Miles will have to accomplish with LSU to silence his critics this year

Nothing will ever silence his critics but he better make it this year or he might be gone.

Ole Miss and Auburn celebrate that feat because they actually beat Bama.

L5U rushes the field for beating Ole Miss.

LSU should try to at least finish 2nd in the SEC West first before talking about championships

A year and a half later and you're still
melting from the loss to LSU

beat bama and he's safe unless the season really blows up. LSU fans are starving for a bama win

Not a thing that can happen

15-0 wouldn't silence his critics.

That's pretty much the prevailing majority opinion of LSU Fans/Alums/Season Ticket Holders that I know around the Baton Rouge area.

No more patience and excuses. Too much talent in the program now. Miles needs to either put up or shut up. Tigers will either beat Rammer Jammer and win the West or he'll be shown the door.

The majority of the adult Fan Base wanted him gone after last season, but a few SP's convinced Alexander and Alleva to hang on for one more season...........

You can never make blanket statements like that. With how tough of a conference and schedule they have Thtas not the case

Losing to Bama and some other team and not making the SEC Championship will be it for him. I don't think he can survive losing to Bama again unless he somehow makes the SEC Championship despite the loss.

Honestly he needs to focus on small games, that will be the final nail.

Beating Alabama and winning the SEC West would certainly help, but that isn't necessary to save his job. For purposes of saving his job, he better look at Arkie and Ole Miss. A loss to Alabama is understandable, and a failure to win the West, even for five years as it has been, is understandable. Losing to Arkansas and Ole Miss in anything other than an anomalous upset is not. Any coach at LSU who cannot beat those two teams at least 2/3rds of the time deserves to be fired. Right now, Miles is 13-9 against them in his 11-year tenure. Even a sweep this year would not get his record against them to where any decent coach in his position should have it. A split or losing both should get him fired. Will it? One would hope so, but LSU is always stupidly lenient with coaches.

If LSU goes 11-1 with that loss being to bama and bama makes it to the championship game he will not get fired.

You can't fire a coach after going 11-1 in the SEC
