Has to be about LSU or TennerC but TennerC has the offense to cover bad games. Dude, if your taking a shot at Tennessee, you do realize it rained 85% of that Georgia vs Tennessee game? Lol umm have you ever seen rain games? Advantage better running offense. I personally don’t think with those conditions, where you can’t really throw is a good gauge.

It was raining the second half of the game. What was the excuse for the first two quarters?

People here shite on LSU for having a "bad" defense in 2019.

LSU had the 33rd ranked defense.

Tennessee would be embarrassed in the playoff.

85%? The uga passing offense was kicking their asses before it started raining in the middle of the 3rd Q.

Yeah the 2022 Tennessee team has a much worse defense than 2019 LSU and 2020 Alabama who also had The Best Offense Ever of the Year(TM) their respective title seasons.

Big talent deficit overall. They're not a great unit and they don't really have a star player who makes a play or two like '19 LSU or '20 Alabama.

You obviously didn't watch the game and have been reading UTK message boards.

Yep, I said it before. When comparing those teams, there was no comparison really. LSU's defense was not good the first half of the year, which is when people were comparing the two teams statistically through 6 games or whatever it was. But the last four to five games, the LSU D played up to its potential. UT does not have that potential on defense. LSU was loaded with NFL players on that D, but for whatever reason, couldn't get it together early on.

If you want to give credit where it is due, The rain and the clock deserve most of the credit.

You haven’t even bothered to watch the game but yet you comment on it. In good weather, we were dominating them the way a team does in good weather. In bad weather, we dominated them like teams do in bad weather. Their only TD was in trash time.

No team has won a national title with TN’s ranked Defense and overall recruiting classes. Oregon is the only team to even make a championship game with a 4 year recruiting class outside the top 10.

Tennessee also has no game changing playmaker. They have 2 great receivers and a very good QB. No one on their roster even resembles the players on 2020 Bama and 2019 LSU. If they make the playoff their depth will be exposed by Ohio State or UGA again.

"85% of the game it was raining."

We were well into the third quarter when the rain started and UT was down by 21 before they ever touched the ball with it raining.

UT is top 10 best scoring defense in the second half of the season.

So they're vastly improving.

Kirby knows (if some morons apparently don’t) that the goal is to win the game.

Once they were up big, no need to go no huddle and try and run it up.

Up 24-6 they go 11 runs, 3 passes and nearly 9 minutes off the clock to pretty much wipe out the rest of the 3rd quarter.

27-6 after the FG. Game was essentially over at that point and everyone knew it. That’s excellent game management.

To be fair, the first half+ of the season they did have a bad defense. They were playing really well down the stretch though.
