Man why do yall focus on beating Alabama so much, the main goal should be making it to the SEC Championship. Beating Bama shouldn't even matter in the grand scheme of things, when the main goal is winning the division and going to the playoffs. I dont see any Bama fans worrying about beating Ole Miss when the main goal is to win the championship. It should be the same mindset for LSU fans.

It's championship or bust for Bama. It absolutely is.
I wish it wasnt like that but sadly to many in the fanbase it appears that way. Personally, Saban did so much for Alabama as a whole, the state and the school, that I wouldnt mind if he never won another NC again. What he did is hard for anyone to do period.

Unless it's in a rematch to Alabama and we beat them during the regular season. Then people might start offing themselves.
I literally just laughed my arse off. This is so true and so sad...

I think LSU would have to lose 3 or more in terrible fashion(last season) for Les to get run out of town.

I consider it championship or bust for Clemson this year. It kind of sucks when you think about it

It does suck. Last year..Ohio State was the 1st pre-season unanimous #1 in history. Defending National Champs. There is nowhere to go but down. 12-1..one of only 4 teams to only lose 1 game the whole year..finish #4. Horrible year. No fun at all except pasting Michigan and Notre Dame in games that didn't matter.

I think Clemson is in that same boat this year..

I see where you are coming from here and I somewhat agree with your sentiment, but this is also a silly statement. Why would Alabama worry about beating Ole Miss when:

A). You play them early enough in the year that a loss hasn't really seemed to make a difference

and

B). You have made it to the SEC championship both times you lost to them.

If we lose to Alabama, under normal circumstances (Alabama being very good), the SEC championship is out of the question for us.

Miles is too stubborn with the running game and he has a suspect QB. Stop the run and force the pass and you beat LSU.

Stop finishing 3rd and losing to Arkansas and Ole Miss or bust.

how the passing game looks will also be a deciding factor

Now if you had just posted this at the very beginning of the off season we could have all copied and pasted it in the last 2000 threads on this subject.

No.

SECW Champs is the goal as stated by others.

I just don't see us being worse than 10-2 this year and that'll secure CLM's job a bit longer.

If we flop early in the year; he's likely gone unless we somehow salvage the season with wins against Bama, Arky and A&M.

I think so. I think the Belk Bowl is a very realistic destination for them....
