Better yet why not just stop posting if you really have to ask a stupid question like this

I believe in you. You can win next year. Bring it like Serraneaux did during the competition instead of waiting until it's over, Stevie.

If he doesn’t lose four games a year for seven straight years, we’ll know he’s an improvement over Gus.

Gus almost won a NC with a WR at QB. That’s pretty impressive. Crazy to think Jimbo beat that Team of Destiny.

Honestly we can't answer this question until games are played. I doubt Freeze matches what Gus did in his first season.

He dug us out of the Idaho potato famine. I don’t know how many games we’ll win this year but I know that he’s been a miracle worker with this 2023 roster. We at least have an SEC roster.

He will have to surpass Gus's accomplishments at Auburn before he is better...

I would say at this point he is more seasoned than Malzahn was going into 2013.

Malzahn, you take away the tip against UGA and the kick six, Auburn goes 9-3 that year, and Malzahn probably doesn't make it past 2016.

I'd put it this way, Malzahn is not on anyone's short list to return to the SEC. Freeze overcame a major scandal both personal and NCAA and managed to get back in the conference in just a little more than 5 years after he was fired.

for sure.

Gus had a somewhat innovative system that worked when it was new but once people got acclimated to it it didn't really work, which can be szaid about pretyt much any "new" system that's ever come out. Triple option, air raid, etc...they all get slowed down mightily once there's enough film on it.

Gus had success with Cam and Marshall because they were tailor made for his offense. Once he didn't have those guys, and people were more aware of his system, he plummetted. Then for some reason he tried to shoehorn guys that weren't cut out for that offense into it anyway which led to laughable results.

Freeze only won to the degree he did by rampant cheating, which you could argue isn't really possible now considering everyone can pay players legally so that takes his advantage away. But he's proven that he'll do whatever it takes, within the rules or not (typically not), to win.

I'm not "worried" about most teams as long as kirby is here, but I feel that AU is going to provide a greater challenge now than they did under gus or harsin.

Gus' "system" was trapping D personnel on the field and exploiting it. He was outstanding at it. When the NCAA changed the sub rules, he wasn't able to adjust.
