Is Harsin too good for Auburn?

Maybe they out kicked their coverage. He seems like a straight shooter caught in a program where gimmickry is king.

When Auburn was 6-2 last year they looked great and I thought maybe Harsin was the real deal. I have no idea if he is the real deal or not but I don't think we'll ever find out while he's at Auburn because he won't be able to run his own program.

Yes. They don’t deserve him or that hot staffer.

I dont know how Auburn fans feel about Harsin. They dont say much. He seems like a likeable guy that doesn't have that Tuberville brashness about him. He almost looks uncomfortable at Auburn.
With that said he wont be there long term and they will move to the next guy. They've had 4 coaches in the last 14 years.

He won’t last long. He’s not the “fambly” type. Younger fans want a Saban character, while the traditionalists don’t want change, but the old days. That’s a recipe for division and short term.

Lol. Yeah he sure as hell seems like it. Give him a lifetime contract

Stupidity combined with a lack of awareness often produces brashness

Yeah until Auburn does what Alabama did in 2007 and stop meddling with the head coach the cycle will just repeat itself. Even then it may not be enough with this new NIL era.

Still never heard of him.

No, but he needs to go back to the west coast.

Alternatively, 4 coaches in the last 23 years

It’s all how you want to spin it. If you count Tubs last year it’s been 14

In the last 42 years (1980 forward):
Auburn has had 6 coaches (not counting interims)
Alabama has had 9 coaches (not counting interims)
Georgia has had 5 coaches
LSU has had 9 coaches (not counting interims)
Tennessee has had 7 coaches (not counting interims)
Florida has had 9 coaches (not counting interims)
Yes 1980 is an arbitrary date of my choosing, but its a far more significant sample size than a cherry-picked 14 years.
If you back the date up to 1970 (a proxy for full integration of college football), the numbers are
Auburn 8
Alabama 9 (no change)
Georgia 5 (no change)
Tennessee 8
LSU 10
Florida 10

Winning cures everything and Harsin better win this year because '23 looks bleak.
