You would be a great coach, I could see us hiring you after Kelly.

He certainly seems to have a better understanding of defense than Kelly. Of course, the same could be said of the raccoon that gets into my trash on occassion.

This guy still plays football? He gots to be older than Stetson at this point

Unlike Stetson, Perk actually received a degree.

Then yea, he's going to get torched in pass coverage.
He had one of the best coverage grades in America on a team with the worst defense in football in '23.

I'll take my chances with Perk on tight ends.

So, basically, you can block him with a TE? Advantage: offense

Von bulked up in the league. I think his college weight was 230.

he's a few inches taller with a bigger frame. Him putting on 20 pounds isn't as extreme as Perkins doing it

Von Miller was listed at 6’3” 243 on Aggy’s depth chart his SR year.

Why Aggy is even comparing him to Perk, I have no idea.

Why Aggy is obsessed with Perk, I have a pretty good idea.

Your Bama Penis Envy is only rivalled by your abject stupidity. If Perk is in coverage downfield on a TE, he is effectively negated from rushing the passer by that TE. It doesn't matter if that TE is physically locked up blocking Perk or not. The point is, by scheme or formation, the offense removes Perk from the pass rush.

That's so simple even TutHill could grasp it. Apparently, it was too complex for you. Lay off the paint chips.

He was at 246 at the combine. OP is just making shite up, as usual.

Why is Kelly so committed to ruining Perkins? A hybrid LB/DB? He should be playing the hybrid roll of OLB/DE like he did as a freshman, similar to how Von Miller played in the league. Should have got his weight up to 235ish, so he can line up at the edge at times to speed rush the QB, his specialty.

An aggie giving out football advice and counsel….that’s rich….it’s like Richard Simmons giving out TRT advice

Bc Von played OLB/DE, which was basically what Harold was doing his freshman year. He just needed more one or two more rushing moves in his bag other than speed rush.

If a 185# running back can throw him around like this a 250# tight end might kill him.

Why do you keep ignoring the 20 lb weight difference, 2 inch height difference, and certain significant arm length difference?

They are not the same player. He is also not the same player as Micah Parsons. He is closer to being a stronger version of Jabril Peppers than he is being Von Miller.

I’m actually stunned Perkins never bulked up. 220 is pretty light for an SEC LB. They usually play a little heavier.

His natural position is a nickel/LB/box safety hybrid that can come off the edge occasionally.

It'll just depend on how he is used. I think its better to focus on putting a player in a position where he can be stronger (for Perkins that is as a fast as frick, freaky LB) than it is trying to put him in a hybrid slot because he can sort of be a DB sometimes.

He did, he got up around 225 after playing around 218 in 2023.
