LOL - I keep forgetting that Gus lost to that Tennessee team.....at home.......man, that has to be the biggest clunker ever. That is a real WTF did we pay for moment.

Yea, that was just totally embarassing and unacceptable. All of the other losses were semi-reasonable. Obviously they didn't want to get blown out by UGA or Alabama, but both road games and bad matchups.

Losing to State on the road isn't embarassing. The LSU loss at home wasn't great, but LSU is a Top 15 team.

The Tennessee loss though..........that's just bad.

To be fair I’m sane for a Bama fan and am pretty objective even when it involves Alabama football. Lol

Wow, seem a little defensive with your answers on the subject. Tell us who you are, I'm sure a few people on that site know what you are. The site still takes you money, only the drunk Kirk McNair bans posters.

My subscription is through BOL and I assume the money is split between BOL and 247 at large. I'm not sure what site you are talking about.

Ill never understand why Auburn didnt just let Arkansas hire him, but, Im glad they didnt!! Even at 2-10, I would pass on Gus.

Isn't Chad kind of Gus lite though?

I seriously doubt Gus is in any danger though. The contract gives him so much leverage.

stylistically they are similar, sure. It's more teh cult-of-gus and the ronnie floyd mafia would have made gus harder to get rid of than bedbugs. I think Gus is still a 50-50 to be a successful coach there. This was Auburn's down year. Y'all really do this every two year cycle thing- have for the whole decade.

I seriously have doubts about Gus succeeding at Arkansas, though. I dont think he would be able to recruit here anywhere near as well as Chad. He can at AUBURN, sure. You guys have a built-in recruiting machine, though. We don't. This class is all Chad n Co.'s heavy lifting.

I mean I don't know for sure, but I think it is much less than that.
Next year, we swap Tenn for Florida...

And we start with Oregon, play LSU and A&M in their houses.

And amen corner with GA and AL to round it out.

Still, he can find a job just as easily next year as this year, so I do not see why he would give up the guaranteed paycheck.

And I was not meaning to imply anything negative about your hire --- it is still his first year. I just meant they seem to have similar offensive philosophies, right?

Yeah, I read it that way, Brother. Jury's still out but I know Chad will be alright. Worst case for us is we are looking again in 2-3 years and have a ton more talent on the roster than now.

Your membership in the Auburn website. I'm sure you are one of those who goes on there and tries to stir the pot as a 'Auburn Fan".

Yeah after that one, put a fork in the season, it was done.

That was inexcusable. I think I predicted we would lose 3-4 games--- did not see Tenn as a loss.

That one will leave a scar.
