New OL, new RB, new QB and new WR.
What? All those positions are returning except 2 from the OL

Absolutely not. Georgia is not sorry by any means but they just aren't a national championship winning type of program. Even in seasons where they do have a pretty stout team there is always someone who is a little better. Next season will be no different

Kirby is Les Miles 2.0 they'll play down to a less talented team and lose

Being one play away from winning is not winning.
It ain't horseshoes or hand grenades

I mean, should be the best offense Smart has had. UGA is losing almost their entire secondary though.

Yes. They are favored to win it all next season. Let's see how they handle that target on they back.

If I were to put any money at all on it, Alabama is the favorite until Saban retires.
Georgia has been highly regarded for a few years now, and I think they might have passed their window. I think Kirby's a safe coach, one who won't mix things up enough to flip the power balance.

quote:That's deceptive; we're returning 3 starting QBs, for example. Hopefully only 1 will play any meaningful minutes, because otherwise we're looking at injuries or ineffectiveness. And we were 5-5 with the guys we're returning. Not 8-2, or 7-3. Also, depth is a serious concern. We COULD be a factor, but I wouldn't call us a favorite.quote:
UF, LSU and Bama will be in transition years
LSU is returning 21 starters.

JT Daniels is more than a game manager.
Just out of curiosity, say he has to miss a game. Maybe his knee starts acting up.
Who is your backup for next year?

I'm sure Georgia will find a bed to shite in. It may be the playoff championship game, but a bed will be shite in.

Stetson Bennet will be a Senior ?
Carson Beck will be a RS Freshman if he hangs around ?
5* Brock Vandagriff ?

Definitely looks like a stacked deck. But, remember, it's Georgia.

LSU is losing 0 starters on offense, 2 on defense (Cox and Stevens) and the punter. 21 of 24 returning.
The number of guys returning who have started a game is pushing 30.
