They both say the right things in public. Those close to our program will tell you a different story. Let's just say Smart burned some bridges on his way out, and Saban isn't one to forget or let bygones be bygones. If Saban feels like he's losing top players to Smart because Smart is playing above the rules, Saban won't hesitate to ask his buddy Emmert to take a look.

I'm sure you guys trying to bribe Saban's personal friend Emmert would go really well for you. Please try this
I was joking, sort of.
If you’re relying on Mark Emmert deciding to enforce the rules and come down on a huge revenue producing program, don’t hold your breath.

Kirby knows where the bodies are buried. Saban isn't dumb enough to risk that. I know you would be based up your posts.

Meh, Alabama is the king of CFB right now. Programs like UGA's have come and gone. NCAA isn't going to lose revenue whether UGA is on probation or not. And if you don't think Saban and Emmert had private discussions once Freeze started to buy players that Saban would have otherwise signed, you're naive. Not saying this is happening with Kirby, simply that it could and Saban certainly has the type of relationship with Emmert where he would listen.

Savage burn, bro. I bet you were a real winner in middle school.

I didn't say anything about Alabama.

If you can't understand why Mark Emmert (and the SEC and Nick Saban) wouldn't want to punish a team in a major market that just made the playoffs, you can't be helped.

It wasn't meant to hurt your feelings. Sorry if it did, but have no worries, We can reevaluate your intelligence when you learn what a trend is.

Man, you're on a roll. Your personal attacks are seriously worse than most middle-school level hits. Pathetic. Much like UGA's 40 year drought. Just sad.

It doesn't matter where the kids are from. If you are chewting, you're cheating. Once the ncaa sets their crosshairs on you and you have been cheating, it's only a matter of time. Georgia better hope the ncaa doesn't set their sights on their program. Bama too.

Focus on learning the concept of a trend rather than me. It's your only hope of improving your posting skills.

Absolute correct...gpod God,do the math. The state of Georgia had 140+ P5 signees this year and FORTY blue chips.Thats more than Louisiana,Ohio and Pennsylvania COMBINED.This wasn't close to the case even 10 years ago.
If we sign JUST 15 of those blue chips a year we'll be a consistent top 5 team in blue chip ratio and top 4 in recruiting EVERY year.
Honestly what so hard to figure out when it comes to UGA's recruiting success?

quote:It does, actually. Georgia getting instate kids to stay home isn't a feat of strength exactly. Most kids grow up rooting for their instate schools and wanting to play their. Georgia just happens to have more talent in a 100 radius of Atlanta than pretty much every state except Texas and Florida. As I stated before, Georgia has always recruited Tn, Al, Fl, SC and NC so there is no shock there. They also have a guy who was known as the best recruiter in the game a few years as their HC so that isn't a shock either. Let's not forget that they have what is considered to be the best campus in all the SEC as an advantage as well.

Just STFU already.Dont know how many times Ive heard LSU fans tell me that "they don't have to cheat" because of all their in-state talent.Georgia has 3 TIMES the amount of HSFB talent with only GT as our P5 competition. No reason in the world we shouldn't have a top 5 recruiting class every year.
